So much promise wasted

Huh,they leave out Iron Man 2 and Hulk on the list of films at the end.

Still, I'm insanely hopeful for the upcoming films. Outside Spider-Man.

I'm really doubting the ability to juggle so many characters. Even in Civil War Ant-Man and Spidey were really only there for comedy in one scene. How will they make this huge roster all have personal moments of character development?

I'm curious if there are any corners left to explore in Phase 4. Magic, Cosmic, Street Level and basic Superheroing have all been done in the MCU.

I think the biggest problem with the MCU is that it never has had that many iconic moments. Almost all of the iconic scenes in the general public from the MCU almost entirely come from Avengers, and others include "Hail Hydra". To be honest, I think the MCU has cut corners with scenes that would develop the characters more that we would really feel a gut punch if they died, instead of "Oh, _______ died."

And that's what I feel will hurt Thanos, even if he does go on a killing spree, we haven't seen things get truly personal. You mean to tell me that Wanda and Pietro go their whole lives hating Tony Stark, and we never have a moment where Tony and Wanda get over their hatred for one another? I don't even think Wanda and Tony have exchanged dialogue with one another. You'd think with so much material and screen hours, they would spend more time fleshing out these kinks instead of rushing to the next action piece.

I think it's more than that. I think that instead of evolving characters, they instead set up action set pieces. I mentioned this before, but I think Age of Ultron should have had a character arc where Tony Stark has given up the suits since Iron Man 3 and is focused on making Ultron, and then has to come to terms that he has to put on the suits again to stop his creation.

I also think the problem is that a lot of these characters aren't pro-active. They are always motivated just to stop the bad guys that pop up instead of going out on their own with their own goals.

The MCU spent more time developing the central heroes and generated both strong worldbuilding and lore ahead of anything else. They went for the jugular with this just so the MCU had a strong foundation and both IM2 and AoU were massive creative sacrifices in order to guarantee franchise longevity with those being especially strong on lore/universe building backbones.
With the exception of LONE exception of T:TDW, all of the MCU films benefit strongly from a re-watchhing and even moreso if you made efforts to watch AoS/AC consistently. (Watching will give both IM and Cap franchises a kick in the dick. Peggy's efforts were ultimately in vain and Tony being really narrow-minded with his ignorance of AIM overall lead to serious consequences around the world involving enhanced individuals...especially since Killian technically stumbled onto learning of Inhumans and Tony's Dickery accidentally covered it back up.)

The fact that the studio knew they were bumbling their way into IM3 (Mandarin) and Thor 2 (in general) was lampshaded pretty cleverly in the first avengers movie since they had cheeky dialogue written in due to the whole "framework" thing still being worked on and legit follow-up storytelling after the avengers being uncharted territory.

In the very first season, they take the time to establish that centipede is just a compound device and a shorthand for something that's based off of Extremis. In the very first episode, they flat-out call it out as Extremis.

It's basically hacking/artificially inducing the same parameters that the Kree naturally induced in humans with Terragenesis, but without Terragenesis/terragen crystals. While Killian was far ahead of the curve he was still and forcing the same exact genetic response in other test subjects.

Thanks to FitzSimmons, we get the understanding that Extremis was dangerous because the (specific formula that Killian used to get there) wasn't compatible with everybody. (which is why some people were blowing up.)
