A world where borders exist and where you can cross a border and enjoy a completely different culture and environment compared to the one before it;
is a vastly less boring and monotonous world than one where everything is mixed into a pot of distasteful shit like Globalism does by boiling a pot of vegetables, fruits, eggs, milk, meat, chocolate, until you have a puke inducing mixture.

Nationalism ironically makes the "multi" part in "multiculturalism" exist. Without it there is no "multi", there is no variety, there is only one brush of gray paint that's nausea inducing.

Very nice dream of nationalism you have there. Shame in practicality a nationalist population leads to violence, war and division.

Nationalism is a tool of the state meant to collectivize and manipulate individuals. It's window dressing for service to the government.

No, /pol/, I'm not part of the "enemy".

I mean as opposed to individualism, and liberty. Collectivism is a cancer. Nationalism exists only for the government to enlist the service of it's people. That's all it has ever been used for, and it's all it ever will be used for. Sure, you can play with the dreamy little idea in your head, but in practicality it just won't work.

Nationalism is a bad idea because it's almost always been used as a weapon of manipulation. It's used to get people to serve the state. Whether it's the deliberate encouragement of jingoism in the British Empire in the 20s and 30s so they could cling onto territory, the fight against the USSR during the Cold War, or the rhetoric of the Nazi regime.
>>
>>90018851
I'm neither American, nor do i read news sites.
If you believe you can put a label on someone who treats political systems as tools, and views tools as inherently neutral devices that have their strong points as well as shortcomings,
then you'll disappoint yourself.
Label wars are for people who can't think for themselves.

>>90018866
Whether Russia or USA, both are the same to me.
Two forces with their own interests who will do crazy and dirty shit to achieve them.
Justifications are irrelevant, political messages are irrelevant, a tyranny of one is as bad as a tyranny of another.
I'd prefer both of them to never cease, because both of them have things that i like, and i can enjoy those things as an individual and exploit them.

Again, keep your stupid at a lower level.
I am not here to change the world like some infantile teenager who thinks he's a superhero all of a sudden. I'm here to enjoy the world and don't like seeing it become culturally poorer because some Globalist fucktard wants to mix everything up.
>>
>>90018883
Thank you. That's a fair argument. I don't have anything to really contradict those points.
>>
>>90018864
There's no point to argue you thickskulled retard. What you're describing makes no real sense. You're confusing nationalism, multi-culturalism, globalism and monolithic culture to try and make this dreamy point that is seemingly inarguable.

Not having a monolithic culture is a good idea? Whoa fucking calm down Einstein, you should go explain that to the ten remaining stalinists in the world and perhaps some remains of the Roman fucking empire. Who would have thought?

I will admit, I still hold to my beliefs, but with what you've presented, I need to strengthen my argument. And it will work like this - either I can find the argument to strengthen it and counter your point, or I can't. If the latter, then I will be forced to change my mind. I don't believe in holding to an ideal that can't be held up to scrutiny.

That's why cartoons are shit these days.
It's all easily manufactured shit that's basically simplistic merging of circles, squares, triangles, and simple lines, filled with color,
all easy to copy paste and rush out in episodes.

Old cartoons meanwhile had crazy fucks hand-drawing and hand-painting every single detail with complex lines and using depth with lighting and shadows, making complex yet visually rich shit. That took shitload of time and was not easy to get out as fast as managements wants it to.

It's the same with weeaboo anime.
They've stopped doing that old sci-fi mecha and spaceship shit with debris and visually complex and rich frames for the whole timeline,
and focus on moeshit school-environment faggotry which is easy to do, doesn't warrant many effects, is easily copy pasted, uses lots of stock imagery conversion, and is fast to dish out.

Reynolds, and others, have missed. Mr. Reynolds, if I understand correctly,
feels that comics do not represent ethnic minorities properly, that they
gloss over cultural differences and generally fail to make characters of
different racial backgrounds indistinguishable, characterization-wise

Anybody else read the first ish of Frank Miller's so-called epic Dark Knight Returns? Interesting idea I guess, an old Batman, but the art sure is mediocre. Makes me wish Miller was still good at art, back around when he did Daredevil.

Speaking of movies, I'm hearing that Warner Bros. has hired that kid Tim Burton to direct that Batman movie they've been talking about forever. Yes, obviously the director of a Pee-Wee movie is a perfect fit for a grim superhero of the night. Seriously, what are they thinking?!
>>
So Superman is just a personality that Clark Kent puts on to save the world? THAT'S THE STUPIDEST THING I'VE EVER HEARD!

Superman with his super powers is what makes Superman great! Without them he's just a stupid farmboy! The new Superman reboot is going to flop and flop hard!

Seriously, I'm giving up comic books until the REAL SUPERMAN comes back!

This is going to be the cheesiest movie in the world! Sure feels good to be a Superman fan and bad to be a Batman fan right now, They're going to keep making Superman movies until forever and the new Batman movie is going to be the last Batman movie for decades!

They're talking about Jason Todd. Pre-Crisis Jason Todd was just a Dick Grayson Clone (he appears in Man Who Has Everything and most people think he's Dick). Post-Crisis Jason is the edge-lord we all know and hate, though I don't remember exactly when new Edgelord Jason first appeared.

Well the definition of culture is
>societal norms and traditions unique to a specific collective/tribe/ethnicity/nationality/etc. which define its identity.

Apart from religion, the vast majority of the traditions and norms defining a culture are made up of entertainment mediums.
Architecture, which is to be visually enjoyed.
Dressing, which is to be visually enjoyed.
Dancing, see above.
Music, which is entertainment as well as a medium to pass on stories, with rhythm and tonal rules specific to that collective and also revolving around specific instruments that are traditional to that culture. A general musical identity can form depending on the history of a culture, say the Russian obsession of darker and deeper tones, or Chinese obsession over high pitched mystic and spiritual tones that move towards trance music.
Food, which is ordered and presented specific to that culture whether out of spiritual rules binding certain ingredients, or meal recipes popularized throughout the whole collective with roots from it.
Sports specific to cultures.
Etc. etc. etc.

So yeah, cultures do in fact exist to entertain. To observe. To enjoy and also learn from. To inspire.
The worst enemy of inspiration is a lack of variety and diversity to feed it.
