General question, why does western animation suck so much relative to anime? Plus western studios do their actual animation in Japan or Korea. Why does the Far East have so much animation talent?

Liked the episode, but it went a different direction than I thought it was going to go. I was waiting for a tape-recorder moment or something like "Steven, if you're in my room and this is playing, you know I shattered Pink Diamond" type of moment. I thought that's what was happening when shit started going south. But no, it's just another use of Rose's room to get Steven to work out his inner issues because nobody else can really help him right now. I'm fine with that, just kinda wish we got a teensy bit more exposition. Even something like "I know I made some mistakes, but if I had to take them back if it meant you couldn't exist, I wouldn't change a thing" throwaway for why she did what she did would've sat better with me.
