It's not that Chuck is different that upsets me. It's that he's different in a very specific way that falls in line with the "them black boys gonna dirty up our pure innocent white daughters with their jungle jizz!" stereotype. Plus the fact that something like this would be much more in character for Reggie, who is still on the show and a total asshole wannabe womanizer like he's always been.

Given the politics expressed in the show, probably not what they were going for. The episode was written by a black woman, interestingly.

The Reggie actor still has some other role, so their filming with him has been limited. My guess is that the storyline was originally written with Reggie in it, then the actor wasn't available so they used Chuck instead.
