I am a little worried about the whole post-apocalyptic road movie thing. Why is there a well-stocked convenience store in a desert wasteland? In general a lot of action in all forms are missing the feeling of impact. Sometimes too flashy leads to everything feeling shallow and brief. Old Jackie Chan movies are an example of being flashy, while also keeping that feeling of impact.
