on a minor note, it bugs me that a generic sentinel is considered a staple of the series rather than, say, Nimrod in its place. it's like if Smash Bros. had a koopa trooper rather than Bowser

Marvel was fine except for Phoenix, X-23 and Sentinel. Capcom side was shit aside from arcade and Clover characters

Are you shitting me? It had BY FAR the best Marvel OR Capcom selection in any Vs game.

Yeah, it sucks that Cyclops or a real Megaman didn't get in, but both sides had a great deal of popular and niche characters.

Honestly, if it was up to me, Phoenix, She Hulk, Sentinel and X-23 would have been dropped for Green Goblin, Venom, Cyclops and Incredible Herc and Chris, Hsein-Ko, Zero and Jill would have been switched out for Leon, Lord Raptor, Megaman and Gene.
