Personally, I thought it was just okay, but overhyped.

Loved it.

Rewatching has been great because you pick up on all the small ques for what is to come later. Show is just fantastic. I hope the universe continues in some way.

i watched like 11 episodes and found it horribly overrated. I thought Mable was gonna be the greatest female character yadda yadda but she is just selfish and annoying without all the fun. Basically Dee Dee. The jokes are hit and miss. Stan is great though.

Solid 8/10

Quite possibly my favorite show of all time, planning to start a rewatch tonight.

Wonderful characters and setting, engaging mystery plot and great stand-alone episodes as well. It isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination but it hits far too many of my sweetspots for any of it's flaws to be dealbreakers.

I was frustrated by a lot of 2b and especially Wierdmageddon but after being given a year to mellow out I've realized that the good far outweighs the bad.

Regardless of what you think of the show, for me, it's given me one of the funnest experiences a cartoon's ever been able to provide for its watchers

Honestly speaking, it's not as awful as /co/ typically likes to toot. Season 2B is the only truly lackluster part of the show as it failed to deliver on the premise of trying to make up for a missing season, which evidently it couldn't do. And even then it wasn't offensively terrible by any means. That's still three quarters a great show and one quarter missed opportunity with a nice ending.

I'm getting all depressed remembering the times now.

I just read through some of the archived /gfg/ and when Bill first appeared people thought he had some big Xanatos Gambit. Honestly I wish he had. The stakes really dropped in the finale when he had to do dumb things for the plot to work. Maybe it would have meant him not actually getting so much power but actively working towards a bigger plan i p towards the end. The actual way he was defeated and his death scene was good just the mid part where he sat around doing nothing and had no idea about the barrier sucked and killed the creepy threat that had been building up.

It was good, but it suffered from pacing issues. Season 1 had a few too many pointless filler-ish episodes. Season 2 was pretty well paced at first, but then after Ford's reveal, things started getting rushed.

Its definitely a show that would've worked better with three 13-ish episode seasons, rather than two 20-ish episode seasons.

Finally a show that knows when to quit. This show could've gone on linger but it stayed short.. I see no point in shows going.for years like Ben 10 or fairly odd parents. Once the original fans are adults or even teens its time to move on

Rare to say this about a show, but it could've used more filler. Everything felt a little undeveloped, and there was no tension in waiting to see how everything got solved.

All the codes and AMA and buildup made people expect a lot of that partly though but then it was rushed through. Take the cipher wheel, they showed it as an easter egg first episode and then called attention to it with bill using the symbols and it getting mentioned, even the previews for the finale had the cipher wheel all over them so it was this big mystery and everyone thought something was up, then it turned out to be nothing. I don't think it should have beaten bill because that would be lame but I wish it had played some other big role

I thought of one for what Wendy's mom was like.

She'd be tall and lean and have long red hair, much like Wendy herself. She died sometime in her early thirties, but she looks a few years younger than that. She wears a small pair of glasses. She usually has a lit cigarette dangling from her mouth. When she was alive, she worked in logging like most of Wendy's family, and she also did some demolition, lighting dynamite using the cigarette in her mouth. She might have died in a logging/demolition accident.

Ending was inevitably going to be disappointing by the very nature of the show; no way they were gonna handle all that shit, especially the inevitably huge revelation needed to follow up the implications that the town somehow attracted all this weirdness. Still felt a bit rushed though.
