Seeing as some of the clones are still alive it seemingly did. I'd guess the ones who died were too far along in the degeneration process to be saved but I guess the vagueness acts as an excuse for some villains/characters to be used. Gwen, for example, never explicitly dies, we only see her with the pumpkin bomb and she doesn't look all that degraded. So it would be easy to bring her back later as a shock and go "well, the process was reversed before she degenerated".

Well, the Hobgoblin I thought was Ned given in #1 or #2 they had the circular disc on their chest which meant they had the rapid fire finger blaster. A weapon only Ned/Kingsley Hobgoblins used.

But then the last issue happened where we learned Ned was in that town and remembered what Kingsley did to him. Then was all remorseful for his actions.

It's possible then that the Hobgoblin was Lefty Donovan aka the first dupe Kingsley used.

Then again maybe the artist just drew Macendale like one of Kingsley's dupes. It has happened in the past. There are so many Jack O'Lanterns it could be anyone, but I think the Prowler "ongoing" said it was Macendale in the pumpkin head right?

Yost is writing lot of stuff these days. He has several times said "Finished another script" in his Twitter.

Of what we know:

- Wrote with Craig Kyle the story for Thor 3: Ragnarok. Stephany Folsom & Eric Pearson later worked on it some more.

- He's helping/working with the Star Wars Rebels team. Might be part of it in a permanent basis now. Some upcoming Sabine-focused episodes are his first work there.

- A Monkey King movie funded by a Chinese company for Western audiences that hasn't been announced.

- In 2015 he ended the script for the next He-man movie.
