Anybody else extremely disappointed at the last season? Predictable storyline, whole lotta buildup for fuck all, uninteresting new characters (majority of which gets offed right away), uninspired dialogue and forgettable music.
Not even trollpost, just felt it to be very, very meh-y. The only season I haven't watched more than 2 times. Hopefully next season will be better..

That's the thing though, it felt like they didn't put any real spirit into the story. Seems had a premise and sort of thought it would write itself, but it just felt hollow (for me).
It was undeniably heaps better than most other shows of today, but considering the production time (as in time it took for it to come out, no idea how much they actually worked on it) was it ... eh, I'm sick of complaining. I'm just disappointed in myself and projecting my self-frustration by criticizing a cartoon.

That seems like too good for the triad. I'd simply assume that with everything burned down, Rusty probably evicted all of his tenants on the property.

IF the Triad are still on the old Venture compound, they're probably living with Ben and Rico. Assuming Rusty didn't kick them off the compound too.

Yup. Was severely disappointed with season 5 when it aired and had high hopes that season 6 would be better with brock back and change of scenery but it somehow managed to be even more disappointing then season 5.

I guess you just don't like the Blue Morpho and Kato storyline, which was the real arc of the season.

Ventures themselves were mostly pacing and of course, humor.

The lack of Order of Triad was a downer, but since the story plot was Blue Morpho with Rusty and family being a slow moving comedy sub plot, guess they couldn't fit in Triad fun at the same time.

I did not like the less subtle pop culture references. The Saw reference was okay because it was original enough to be it's own thing. The Taken reference was too far because it was basically an overused meme. It's as bad as the Breaking Bad reference in Boondocks. References aren't cool when it's basically a copy of the source material.

Im watching the commentaries for season 5 now and this is the most off topic and not caring about the episodes i think i have ever heard them.

Their commentaries are notably fairly off topic but they would still talk about the show you would also even see how they formulated some of the ideas to bring back characters for future appearances but this so far has been fucking nothing.

Originally that episode was supposed to be the second last but scheduling fucked them over (They could only have the hour long special a week before the season wrapped) and they had to re-do a bit of it to fit continuity wise which is why the script felt a bit off.

Clancy Brown as the Red Death and reading the Taken speech because he saw the movie the night before was kinda funny though even if they didn't land the joke properly. The whole thing seemed a bit too over the head even for something as nerdy and anal as VB since the whole joke about the Red Death is that he is a family man and father who makes dad jokes, loves his family and Arches as a professional gig that pays bills ever since he went too far killed the hero/super scientist he was originaly Arching.

Of course he'd recycle the Taken speech. He's still a dorky father, even if he is one of the top three supervillains in the world.

I honestly love how much the show has evolved in its entirety. I've never seen a show chnage this drastically via a series of interconnected plot points.
