ITT: Best version of a character
>>89913823
Though it's not as if she has a lot of competition.
>>89913823
>great design
>great voice
>no shitty lesbian relationship
>>89913823
fujoshit
the only good one of her
Search your heart. You know this to be true
it doesn't matter
>>89914075
>>great design
I do like it.
>>great voice
The main thing I remember about The Poison Ivy is actually how far out of their way they go to make sure she never speaks in any of her many appearances past the first.
>>no shitty lesbian relationship
Did we watch the same show?
>>89914211
It's sad when you watch this DTV or any of the better ones from this time period and see how the quality is noticeably worse overall now in the DC animated movies. Even the animation took a hit, so it's not like they're really worth watching for the visuals either.
>>89914154
He was great but to difrent to properly qualify as bane.
All of them.
>>89914282
yeah I agree with that
>>89914171
I like him a lot and I think he worked very well for that show, but I dont think that version captures all the aspects of the character
>>89914154
The biggest one since the silent era.
>>89913823
Hard to believe he's a grandfather in his 60s. Dude doesn't even have gray hair.
>>89914445
Perfect choice, anon. I approve.
>>89913823
The only one that's good
Best design anyway
>>89914663
The DCEU would be so much better if it used B&tB as a template. At least this show was good.
>I'm never gonna get more Hardened Veteran Quill
>Forever plagued by "Dance Off" Quill.jpg
>>89915025
WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG WRONG!
>>89915099
It hurts.
>>89915025
I always found it funny how people thought Goth Rogue was out of place since she's from the south when the South is where most goth culture was born.
>>89914269
It hurts to know DC animated movies will never be that good again.
>>89915136
>the South is where most goth culture was born.
wait what
when i think of early goth bands i think of UK act like The Cure, Siouxsie, and Bauhaus, or even the socal birthed Christian Death.
>>89915199
>>89914755
Aging is a sport
Blot
>>89915051
best voice too
they should have brought Comb's back for the Arkham games, his performance is perfect
>>89914147
Yeah, pretty much.
>>89914154
Best non-comic version of Bane, no doubt about that.
Good enough to rival the good comic versions, too.
For a movie depiction of a comic character, that's a pretty big accomplishment.
>>89914381
Would argue about Etrigan.
Would agree with the rest.
>>89915796
I have a collection with this story, which is his first appearance.
How is he with later authors, just watered down or the gimmick got old? No death traps?
>>89915259
Southern Gothic inspired the Goth bands of the UK in the modern era.
The South has the strongest Goth aesthetic in the world, even today.
(--- not a Southerner)
>>89916050
I don't think he has done any death traps in years and now is mainly used as the final boss mastermind type who genuinely aims for world domination rather than money.
>>89914238
yeh. no lesbo relationship with babs or harley
>>89915259
>>89916069
This is true.
It has a lot to do with the odd homebrewed ritualism that came out of the South.
This is the pinnacle.
Every other incarnation sucks.
Yes, including the later versions of the exact same character. For these eight issues, he was the GOAT.
>>89916123
I don't know. I felt like she and Babs had something going on.
>>89915025
Ayy. This guy knows what's up.
>>89916151
i see where you are coming from, but their was nothing going on. I think that is just the personality crafted by all writers of poison ivy.
It was hetero, nothing more.
Beware the Batman's Magpie
>>89914238
>The main thing I remember about The Poison Ivy is actually how far out of their way they go to make sure she never speaks in any of her many appearances past the first.
She was voiced in fleur de mal. When she was abducted she didn't speak, yes.
>Did we watch the same show?
Barbs and Pam were friends. As long you aren't a shipping faggot there shouldn't be anything to read into.
Ivy and Harley on the other hand are explicit together.
Either this, or his current Rebirth run. But then again, Jason doesn't have much competition considering how shit the writing for him has been since UtRH.
>>89914154
Complete and utter joke.
>>89916185
How can TB Ivy be hetero (or even Babs) when they never expressed interest in anyone at all?
>>89919090
>redesign that's iconic and puts the original in a modern context
>great Grey Delisle voice acting
>expanded backstory and a tragic twist
>one of the more vicious villains in the show
A shame they didn't really do much with her after her two episodes. I could see her teaming up with Penguin, who they also were teasing at.
>>89916028for you
>>89914619
Seconded.
Also TAG Alan is less of a prick than his original and movie counterparts.

>>89916142
>>89919206
All agreed.
>>89914154
>>89914171
These two are good, better than most variations, but are not very much like the base character in a way that takes away (although they work within the confines of a movie). DKR Bane is essentially Bane in name only and bits of his character. Sadly, movie-going audiences wouldn't really take an incredibly muscular yet calculating luchador in a suit seriously as a villain, and that's a shame because THAT is the best Bane, at least visually.
>>89913972
This thread is for best versions, not worst

Teen Titans cartoon Jinx.

>>89920607
>massposter
>>89924007
In the original cartoon fucker could take out five Jedi (two masters) in a straight up duel, no cheap tricks of backup at all.
>>89923443
>>89915025
This version of Toad is my vote for X-Men, the movie made him such a bad ass. It sucks knowing X-2 was supposed to have a Toad vs nightcrawler fight. X-Men evolution version was alright and the Wolverine and the X, had the worst personality but an ok design. When I tried to get into the comic version of him it really bummed me out.
>>89919388
Because one has only plants in her head and the other is a teenager.
Your logic is retarded.
>>89919948
>>redesign that's iconic
Anon, she just looks like some stripper or an expensive hooker.
ITT people who watch the Timm shows and have never read a comic
>>89923660
>>89924000
Honestly the only character from the TT cartoon that's worse than the comic version is Robin because they tried to combine all the traits from the other Robins into Dick.
>>89924748
So do most female comic book characters.
>>89913823
'Ello my duckies!'
>>89915099
>>89915134
I remember /co/ shitting a brick when they announced the voice cast for the Guardians guest appearance in EMH at Comic Con and he was being voiced by Steve Downes. EMH had a ton of fucking perfect casting but that was probably the most genius casting move of that series because that's what everyone believed Starlord would sound like. Intergalactic Hardened veteran badass (Kinda like the Master Chief from Halo)
Thanks Marvel.
>>89920885
I remember before Episode III came out, I thought Grievous was going to be the baddest motherfucker in the world because of this show.
The sheer disappointment haunts me to this day.
>>89915259
from the south, can confirm.

>>89915074
This sentence is the truest thing ever said.
>>89919388
Ivy was obsessed with being an eco warrior and the show runner decided to can the BabsxDick romance, because Dick was too young.
>>89915199
>>89915381
DCEU wasted her on that part. She would've been such a better Wonder Woman.
I feel like this version of Jean wouldn't try to turn you gay
https://youtu.be/eSfl9qc5TFc?t=8m5s
>>89914075
she was still fucking with harly in the comic and had a thing with batgirl if i recall
>>89932114
nah, in the animated series Ivy doesn't even meet Harley.
I have to agree with this anon in regards to Batgirl >>89919193
The Show ran from 2004 to 2008.
Way before any Harley and Ivy shacking up
>>89932213
That was from Btas you dumbass
>>89932411
I'm talking about "The Batman"
I know she only shows up in like, one other thing, but her Nyx run was simply great.
>>89932381
Speedy had a hard life.
>>89914445
This is what these threads are made for.
>>89914154
>>89916028
>Best non-comic version of Bane, no doubt about that
You best be joking, niggers
>>89914154
Absolutely awful and hard to take seriously.
>inb4 shitty stale memes
I think this goes for the majority of characters in the 2012 version but I think pic related and Splinter are the best.
>>89914075
>great design
>great voice
>no shitty lesbian relationship
and barefoot
>>89924440
That doesn't make it inherently hetero. Fuck, sexuality is completely absent, so why the hell would it be hetero?
>>89933819
He was a pussy until he became a mutant. His insanity can be fun from time to time, but he's far from a great villain. Ch'rell is still unbeaten as the best non-comic Shredder.
Splinter is pretty cool, though.
>>89925166
I don't remember the cartoon ever saying which version of Robin he was. Their secret identities never really come up much, but I guess Dick is the default Robin.
>>89936655
In the future episode he became Nightwing so that pretty much confirmed Dick Grayson.
They also theorised Red X as Jason Todd so that scratched him off the list.
>>89936655
They get pretty close. In one episode he gets a batmite-esque imp who's obsessed with him, and who originally introduces himself as "Nosyarg Kcid"
>>89936655
He has a very brief flashback to the circus in one episode, I think the one where ghost/hallucination Slade is beating the shit out of him.
>>89913823
www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_q1SdaWLlw
>>89936921
He's the original version of the character.
Then again, his Lego self is just the same and jury's out on the CW version, but his "costume" is already awful.
>>89933819
>>89936641
Both Ch'Rell and 2012 Shredder are good Shredders no doubt.
But this is the best.
At least before the second movie.
>>89937120
Originals are allowed to be the best.
Not optimistic about the CW version.
>>89923660
I actually think recent miniseries raven is best raven.
>>89932037
I think that version of Jean could turn a gay man straight, without the use of psychic powers.
This ties with the New 52 reboot of Aquaman
>>89913823
It's not that hard
>>89935320
>sensible chuckle.jpg
>>89932114
>she was still fucking with harly in the comic
They tolerated each other at best.
>and had a thing with batgirl if i recall
No, not really.
>>89933638
You mean shitty, underbaked and a terrible final boss with little characterisation because WB Montreal lost their nerve with the second half of Origins and instead of following through with the Black Mask just made itA Joker ruse while the real Roman Sionis was kidnapped and being held elsewhere.
Wasted potential. Especially since he should have been one of the Assassins and stalking Batman through the game to add a more horror element.
>>89939269
>The script felt so much more like an adult show and an extension of the Web Of Shadows game that Tricia Helfer really sexed up Felicia despite it being a kids show
TFW
>>89940976
this is my favorite look for Harley
>>89925197
So then what's so iconic?
>>89931051
TAS made me hungry for Hatter. A shame not many writers like to use him.
>>89914663
BATB had the best designs for a lot of characters. The only animated designs, in some cases.
>>89941132
I like Ivy's hair
The only threatening version of the comics failure.
>>89942690
Best Rogue too.
>>89914381
Definitely not Catwoman though. Are you retarded? They treated her so poorly. Only good episode was her introduction.
>>89913823
>>89936655
