how did a deathstroke book end up being the best of a relaunch?

Priest being able to mostly* do what he wants, so much to the point that he's surprised that they haven't interfered yet

*structurally it seems like they made him move some things around but that's about it

I hope after the synergy period dies down he gets a chance to write Suicide Squad, he'd be perfect for it.

They let a talented writer with a clear vision for the character do what he wants and it was a good fit for the storytelling format because he''s an industry vet.
