Unless we're talking about different interviews, I don't know why you would say it was bizarre. With the way he represented the book in interviews even more than Percy, I'd say he was co-plotter in addition to artist. He and Percy probably disagreed on the writing. Meyers seemed interested in taking the book in different directions while, judging from what I've seen of his writing, Percy's ideas were pretty safe and unoriginal. Editorial probably favored Percy because of his success on Green Arrow and because "safe" is Rebirth's motto. Meyers probably then got a better deal from Marvel so he gave up on compromising and left.

It's not weirder in the sense that you're talking about than other interviews I've read desu. Plenty of writers have different or new interpretations of characters. Unfortunately more than a few don't even read anything of a character before writing them and it'd be especially unimportant for an artist. I strongly doubt a creator would be asked to leave over a mild interview like that.

I'm not sure where this story is heading but at least its not a Judas Contract remake(I think)or Trigon again.

Maybe Slade's time travel attempt will wind up fixing a few characters who got screwed over by previous writers.

Kon is only TT associated because the LoSH was divorced from Superman when he was introduced so when they did crossovers there wasn't much mythology to play on. Bart Allen is more closely related to the LoSH than him.

I know Wally is not going to lose his powers, but I think he is probably going to suffer the lose narratively speaking. He's in a hard place currently, and this could worse his mental health if the writer wants to. For a years or two, even. Which could be interesting, to be honest, but as a fan, I don't wish him bad things, as you can guess.

I actually think that worsing Dick/Damian relationship could go quite permanent, tho. The character is still defining himself.

Wally runs into a sword, Kyle decides to punch a guy instead of using his ring and Atom gets shot by a laser pen and flies into Hawkman somehow. The writer doesn't really seem to understand how The Flash's powers exactly work. He seems to think that when The Flash is running, nothing seems to slow down around him, and it's more like he's just moving fast with no sense of how everything is moving around him.

Like basically, he thinks it's like when a car is moving REALLY fast but when it suddenly meets a Deer, it's unable to stop in time and preventing the car from hitting the Deer. In this case, he thought that the Flash moved way too fast to prevent himself from getting stabbed by Deathstroke.

That's the only way I can explain it. Either that, or the writer just didn't really care.

Roy is the kind of guy that would throw fucking Dick's ex in his face probably. Maybe it could be brought up like that?
