Forgot to mention that now I'm viewing the Multiversity as part of the Morrison DC Universe 'holy trinity'.
One Million: the future of the DCU (this is pretty easy to guess).
Seven Soldiers: the past of the DCU (past civilizations, forgotten heroes, Kirby characters, old JLA stories).
The Multiversity: the present of the DCU (all the universes existing around us, and the current state of comics and fandom).
It's pretty fucking dope having these books next to each other on my shelf.

Bumpin' up the thread with some interesting bits and pieces from the book.
Earth 51 is of course, the Kirby Earth, so it makes sense that it's the closest one to New Genesis (and the Guidebook showed there is a connection between the two).
But why is Earth 6 (the Just Imagine Stan Lee universe) the closest one to Apokolips?

I've enjoyed it, but it was definitely the weakest issue. The investigation scenes with Batman & Superman were fine, but otherwise there was nothing exciting about the issue. Guess boredom can really kill.

The Empty Hand represents readers who have become disinterested. We destroy the multiverse every time we empty our hands (as in put the comic book down and do something else). Morrison was making a comment on how the one villain no superhero could ever defeat is a reader who doesn't care about them anymore.

Ultra Comics was created as a sort of living shield to protect readers from bad ideas. But the tragedy of his character is that he's betrayed by the very people he was created to protect. The readers kill him by finishing the story and putting the book down.

Not consciously. Lord Broken took advantage of Overman's guilt, Uncle Sam's desire for revenge, and Doctor Sivana-10's greed to make Earth-10 the way the Gentry wanted it to be. They were all puppets, unaware of being manipulated.

Morrison wanted to push Nix Uotan as a superhero, and Mister Stubbs is his talking animal sidekick (a popular trope in the golden age). Since part of Uotan's character hook is that he sails a ship of sorts, giving Stubbs a seafarer persona feels natural.

Only if we dissect them in a way that makes people less interested in them. If we dissect comics in a way that makes them more interesting, it has the opposite effect, revitalizing the characters and filling them with new life.

I'm pretty sure Neh-Buh-Loh was created by some even larger, darker thing back in Seven Soldiers, which might as well be the Empty Hand; I think Ultra Comics got fought off his possesion by the end and took down one of the Gentry, so he's not Empty Hand; the Empty Hand is just the latest, biggest, baddest Morrison style huge cosmic entity/destructive editor allegory.

Don't see why he would, Atom was dulling his senses with some drug to stay in that Earth long enough to set whatever the hell happened there in motion (probably assasinating the President to stave off the Gentry).

The Freedom Fighters unwittingly got in bed with the Gentry with the Sivana weapons dealers and in their righteous vengeance turned into killer of innocents, potential world destroyers and all around villains, the whole book was some sorta opera/greek tragedy with righteous intentions getting bitter ends.

I assuming the length of the arc had more to do with the fact that they are doing so many issues no, two parters like Dino Island, and more one shots, like the trip to the local (County?) Fair. Because the Clark Kent was coming up (and to fit the length of collected trades), Multiplicity could only be SO LONG.

I would like to see them revisit it.

I think Ultra Comics was being co-opted by the Empty Hand so he could communicate with us, the reader. His memetic form took on aspects of Ultra Comics so we would recognize him.

It kinda shows. The whole structure of the whole thing is a lot like Seven Soldiers but more condensed. You could easily write ongoings set on each Earth. There's so much potential there, it's insane. It's a shame that it probably won't ever be realized.

The story I heard is that Multiversity Too is not really a sequel to Multiversity and doesn't even have anything to do with the multiverse. It's just a Flash Elseworlds story that Morrison has wanted to write for a long time, and DC is marketing it as a Multiversity sequel because they think it will sell better that way.

I think the Flash story is just one of the stories which is going to be in Multiversity Too, along with the Batman photography story.

As i Told before, i started reading Multiversity just because this hiper crisis tread.

also this comic make feel a lot off good stuff.

i love in the end batle that the avengers and the Dc heroes fight together, cause, taking aside the companies diferences, as i understood this comic, is about the comic world as a whole and how it become a part of our personal cosmogonies and mith in a secular world, in wich there mitical part of our society is gone. and at the same time i feel this comic as a batle cry to take the mith and cosmogonies that are part of our-self and defend it to be more than a paper-to spend money-waste time (oblivion machine, the gentry egg executive).

for that i like to see avengers and leaguers fighting togheter as a heros, and also i like very much the superman-bugsbunny-

I just watched a Morrison interview on YouTube, he said the Batman issue is like a Batman black and white thing with a bunch of different stories, mostly drawn by artists who've never done comics, and the photostrip thing is just one of them
