Pretty much the only good Disney princesses who both hold the best character and ethic among the rest. Neither really had to be "saved" by someone and both share the theme of making the things you want happen by hard work (though Tiana had to learn that she needs to have fun once in a while too). These are the only princesses you can actually call good role models.

If we're talking about Disney Princesses there's only 11 princesses in the official lineup, pic related. Elsa and Anna from Frozen for example aren't "Disney Princesses".

If you want to talk about Disney heroines, go ahead, but "Disney Princess", capitalized, is a very specific brand and franchise into which girls are specifically, officially included at the whims of the mouse. Just being a princess in a Disney movie doesn't make one a "Disney Princess".

Honestly I mostly just like Merida because i look like her and there's maybe like two other people in all of fiction that are curly haired freckled redhead grills and aren't just played off as the stereotypical nerd. It's just a shame that Brave itself was kind of shit. Anyone else expecting she'd go on like cool Gary Gygax style DND adventures throughout Scotland? I remembered the teaser trailer made me think that. That would've been badass having her go through crypts doing stealth archer shit, having to find some cool magical artifact to save her kingdom. Instead we got Brother Bear 2: Mother-Daughter Edition.

Cinderella 3 is pretty good, one of if not the best DTV Disney sequel.

It's a surprisingly daring time travel plot where the first movie is undone by a magic spell (2 takes place after 3 and doesn't get retconned).

Prince Charming gets an actual personality and he's pretty likable.
