Oscar's story will become part of RNJR, Weiss, and Qrow's story so he won't take time away from everyone else
And Neo won't return for a long time yet, if at all
Frankly it would have been better if she'd died alongside Roman, she serves even less purpose than Roman did

Gonna be some mad comparisons with the destiny motique I believe. With Pyrrha it was internalized; she died because it was her destiny. With Oscar, there's a much more visible hindered on his life; destiny's come for HIM, so externalized.

I think Salem or one of her agents might try and tempt Oscar at one point too. He's honestly the character with the shakiest loyalty here, and if he could shake of the burden that is Ozpin's forced 'destiny', it would have some POTTERY with Pyrrha's previous acceptance.

Its kinda funny, I'd say Ozpin is slightly better than Dumbeldore in certain aspects like the fact all the people Oz works with are at least 15 and usually 17 and up so he's not leading literal children, and they are actually trained for this (for the most part)
