I had a (pirated) Sky service back in my old house, but we would rarely catch the new episodes so it was pointless anyway. There's a channel on normal TV that airs SU but it takes ages to get the newer episodes from CN

Man I've written smut. Here's the problem. I basically have to write all in one sitting. Once I take a break I lose momentum and I can almost never get going again. And that's fine but I usually get turned on by what I'm writing and end up with like an 8-hour erection. Goddamn, this episode was pretty, the music and background for the end was beautiful.

Peridot works well with most Gems because she is the Gem with the least amount of issues, she is somewhat shy and akward but always tries her hardest, she has self-steem issues and oftens overcompensates but this is nothing compared to the psychological problems of the other gems that sometimes did lead to some heavy mental breakdowns.

Peridot is always cheerfull and curious, oftens smug but overall fun to be around and given that she wants to be acknowledged by others, she does reach out to others while the other Gems seem self-sufficient and rather wait to be approached than do something themselfs, Steven has been changing them but take him out of the equation and the group will fall appart.

And Lapis needs someone like that, I'm not saying they fit well together because they are the opposite but Lapis needs someone who reaches out to her, not in a doting way, always being considerate like Garnet and Steven do but in a more natural way, where can see each other at an even level, like friends. I never oftens didn't like Zukes approach on this, it always seemed so forced, the last episode was better in that you could see that Lapis and Peridot really felt confortable with each other.

Steven is there to care about others, he is there for every Gem like Rose, as I said Peridot could go well with others but Peridot and Lapis really bonded in the barn mates episode, you could say Lapis catched Peridot first without realizing it.

I've done it, /sug/, I've just first timed the entire 119-episode series in one sitting. Now I get to shitpost in this general until I eventually black out and sleep for 20 hours in a row.
Also, what the heck is wrong with the menagerie plot arc. The diamonds didn't intend to destroy the Earth at first, they did their best to preserve humans, they employed the gems from those 2 defective kindergartens, they didn't even shattered the fucking rebels that killed PD. Did they actually do ANYTHING to warrant the rebellion and the regicide?
Also RIP Lapis and Peridot, the new joke sidekicks for life.

Well, I was a bit disappointed by Steven getting a bunch of powerful abilities, a sword-expert girlfriend and a magical lion rather quickly. I hoped he would stay a non-combatant saving the day with his speeches and heart a bit longer. Guess the story wouldn't have worked as it did that way though.
Also I felt like the gems-acting-like-Steven's-moms dinamic got less pronounced after the first 30 or so episodes, but that was inevitable.
As for the later parts, all those fusion themes got slightly tiring after a while. I get it's a useful analogy to demonstrate various relationship problems, but using it for nearly everything felt lame.
Maybe watching it in one siting was more of a mistake.

That's why Connie's speech was great. Wish the other gems were there to hear it to, because it's true. Not just Lapis and Peridot act like children, all of them do. They need to realize that they shouldn't act like an other, need someone to tell them what to do or be inconsiderate towards other beings. It's time to grow up.

Pearl is my second fave after Peri. However if Peridot continues to be a comic relief I might switch back to Pearl. I'm completely fine with Peridot being silly and a shithead occasionally, because she has been a dork since S1. But I hope they don't forget Peridot can be great too if she's serious. I remember being really fond of Sokka in ATLA too, because he is a mix of both but they always balanced that very nicely.

I still have faith though. If the Diamonds finally decide to return to earth I have hope Peridot becomes more serious too once there is a real threat again.

Being made of carbon doesn't necessarily mean you burn easily. Diamond oxidation in oxygen is thermodynamically favoured, but the kinetics matter, and diamonds are relatively hard to burn (that is the reaction is slow) in air (much easier in pure oxygen or fluorine).
In fact, diamonds aren't even thermodynamically stable under normal conditions, graphite is. So much for the perfect gems.
