“The Belligerents have a name for Preem Jagganoth: God’s Monster. You see, to them, he is a divine messenger, blessed by YISUN’s angels to cut away weak and useless things from the world and forge it into a more pure form. To them, he draws all evils into himself, like a great poison, in order to expunge the world of corruption.

Most people, I believe, take their worship as further proof of their insanity.”

Compact is also used incorrectly.

An accord/deal ect, is just pact.

it can be used as a VERB or adjective, for "to bind/join", but not a noun.

Pact is the origin. pactum, pacisci.

Him and Solomon David are the two Demiurges I'm most interested in. Solomon for maximum smug and Jagganoth for maximum MURDER.
Also I want to know what lead Jagganoth to what he is today. The image we see of him when he first received the Key made him look kind've like a portly monk, pretty far cry from what he is today.

I'm pretty curious about Jagganoth as well. He seemed incredibly broken before/during the making of his mask and nails. Plus I suppose I find it interesting that he's the only Demiurge to hide behind something like a mask.

in b4 he's a big guy
>>
>>89822736
>unlimitless
>>
What demiurge are you looking forward too the most? I'm actually pretty interested in Mammon, even though he is seemingly this book's focus. I mean, the guy literally BOUGHT his godhood. Gog-Agog also seems pretty interesting.
>>
>>89826580
Besides Jagganoth, Gog seems like she'll be really interesting, given she's not human or servant, She's a pile of worms, yet could easily be the strongest or at least on par with Jagganoth if she got her shit together. So she has to be interesting and we haven't seen all of her yet.
>>
>>89822736
>My friends, it has often been said that I like war.

>My friends, I like war...

>No, friends, I love war!
>>
Considering his monk-like appearance beforehand, it could be possible that he's the most "godly" of all the Demiurges, and that the wielding the actual power of a god has driven him mad. That might explain the descriptor to him in the OP text, he views himself as a perversion, a heretic, and thus wants to wipe the slate clean?
That's all just postulating though.
>>
>>89826291
I don't think anyone wants Solomon of all people to go in two pages with no buildup. Someone that smug needs to have a satisfying end.
>>
>>89826580
Mammon for the pure greed, and Gog-Agog for what one anon pointed out as attempting to mimic others, with Allison, White Chain, and Cio that could be really fucked up.
Jadis though, that's who I'm waiting for. The only one to say "Oh fuck, it's Kill Six Billion Demons, we're all fucked" to everyone.
>>
>>89826580
I'm pretty interested in Jag and Solomon, but I have to admit I want to know more about Jadis. We don't seem to know much about her.
>>
>>89826580
I just want to know what his personality's actually like. He's the only one of whom we've literally seen nothing.
>>
>>89826633
>Considering how Nadia described Jagganoth as not being able to be peaceful after the war and his background being a child soldier. Did/Does Jagganoth possibly have/had/has PTSD?

>On a colossal scale. But like Juggernaut Star, Jagganoth is also more aware of the true nature of the world than other characters.

It could be something like that but i'm not sure. Chances are it might be that he just has a fundamental nature to 'destroy' and was without purpose until he heard 'yisun'.
>>
>>89826634
Didn't Mottom and WOG say that he's the only one of them that actually thinks he's righteous? Having him break down after realizing how much of a piece of shit he is might be satisfying.
>>89826461
Mottom says that "peace is not for him". Abbadon also said that he was the only one of demiurges that never felt love of any kind. Methinks something really fucked up happened in his childhood. Child soldier maybe?

>>89826739
Not quite. Sundowner wants eternal war and for there to always be conflict as a means for business.

Jagganoth just wants to unmake and destroy everything.
>>
>>89826777
So brutal, yet so entertaining.
>>
>>89826679
I hope he doesn't turn out to act like some generic fantasy dragon. Abadon said in a WOG that he would have accepted a box full of skulls, as long as the proper paperwork was filed. Seems to me like the guy is greedy as fuck, but also an absolute economic genius. I mean he actually had to have enough money to buy his key, and something tells me he made that money himself, didn't just steal it.
>>
>>89826768
So each of the Demiurges are at least slightly tied to one of the 7 Deadly Sins right?
Jagganoth Wrath
Solomon David Pride
Mammon Greed
Incubus probably Lust
Mottom Envy maybe?
Would that make Jadis Sloth, since she's literally frozen in a block of ice, and Gog-Agog Gluttony?
>>
>>89826856
You got Mottom and Gog-Agog switched, the rest is correct.
>>
>>89826844
He's a pariah and an outcast among his own people, so he's unlike the others. I basically figured him as a person not unlike the shadowbroker from Mass effect, just given godly powers.
>>
>>89826856
Switch Mottom and Gog-Agog and you got it
>>
>>89826777
>Filename
Tip Top kek anon.
>>
>>89826873
Well he's an outcast just because his people don't approve of him being an impossibly rich demiurge, not necessarily because of how he acts.
>>
>>89826856
Mottom is gluttony. She eats constantly, both for pleasure and to remain young.
Gog is envy. During the meeting back in book one she immitates the characters that just finished talking. And considering she is a living mass of worm, she probably copies other people's faces all the time.
Jadis is sloth. Fat lazy slut that can't bother getting out of her bed and has her servants carry her everywhere.
>>
>>89826871
I kind've thought Mottom would be Envy considering her being so envious of the youth of her subjects, but I guess Gluttony makes sense too.
>>
>>89826910
Being a 'greedy bankster god' is unforgivable to them basically. The Kind People don't seem to be the type to take power, yet Mammon did.
>>
>>89826945
She consumes worlds relentlessly leaving nothing behind. Also she's always fucking eating.
>>
>>89826945
It more than makes sense. It's obvious
>>
>>89826910
They disapprove of him being a master and not a servant, his people take servitude very seriously apparently.
>>
>>89826844
That just gave me the impression that he was a boring bureaucrat. Or maybe that he doesn't understand social queues.
>>
>>89826982
>yfw Mammon is literally autistic and bought his key because he didn't want to leave the house and fight for one
>>
>>89826726
>how much of a piece of shit he is
How exactly is Solomon a piece of shit? He stays alive through martial arts instead of weird murder, keeps his worlds in relative stability and peace, and has a nice beard.
>>
>>89826982
I think Mammon just understands that money is quite literally power. Not that you can buy power, but that the two are linked intrinsically.
>>
>>89827009
All the Demiurges are pieces of shit, apart maybe from Jadis in her current state. Also, he's associated with pride, do you really think he's going to turn out to be a nice person?
>>
>>89827009
We know Solomon is a tyrant who sees himself as a benevolent dictator despite taking away any sense of freedom from his worlds. He may be the least outright evil, but he's still a huge fucking monster even if he doesn't slit the throat of girls to feed his tree wife.
>>
>>89827009
We don't really know exactly what Solomon David gets up to when he's not just sitting around being purple, but according to White Chain all the Demiurges are quite insane. It could be that his sin is deluding himself into believing that he can fix Heaven and bring about another Golden Age, when in reality he's just making it worse. During the council meeting he mentions that he doesn't respect "The King that abandoned his Kingdom", so when the true King returns he might oppose him to the detriment of all.
>>
>>89827042
Sure, maybe. But even if someone isn't nice, that doesn't mean they're a piece of shit. Zoss certainly isn't nice. Based on how she's been acting lately, Alison isn't nice. Who knows, we may end up in a Lisa-the-Joyful type situation where it becomes apparent our protagonist is making the world worse by taking down all the authority figures, some of whom might not really be bad.
>>
>>89827002
He and allison will bond over their shared interest in magical girl anime
>>
>>89827092
>He may be the least outright evil

From what we know. Pride's seen as the worst of all sins and I'm sure Abby wanted to play with that, I doubt that's all there is to him.

It extends beyond that.

She lives in wasteful luxury. To appease her collection of kings and queens, and to comfort herself over her own fears of death and dethronement.

This reminds me of a Nedroid comic, actually. It's surprising how relevant it is.

Also, speaking of Nedroid, here's Incubus.
>>
>>89827180
Yeah, him, Gog-Agog and Jadis haven't really committed any onscreen evil, and Solomon of that bunch is the closest to normal so it's easy to view him as such.

>>
>>89827254
I actually have been thinking of Jadis as the least evil without even considering why. I guess it's just hard for me not to not feel sorry for her. Of course, she might turn out to be the worst of them all.
>>
>>89827291
Was she imprisoned against her will? Because it's possible that she's just so lazy she keeps herself on ice.
>>
>>89827291
We know her greatest wish right now is to die. She might put up the least resistance.
>>
>>89827291
I mean the only thing that Jadis can seemingly do is write messages on the walls of her tomb. Though Abby did say the Jadis was the second weakest demiurge right after Mammon. So maybe there is other stuff she can do.
>>
>>89827009
>>89827042
>>89827128
We've gotten some snippits about their methods of rule. Jadis' technocracy is pretty much the inquisition plus big brother.

And we got a version of that King Solomon story with the two women who were arguing over a child. The results were not very happy for those involved, really. In Solomon David's empire, everyone lives comfortably "enough". In exchange, they lack freedom.
>>
>>89827314
Well, it's not like she CAN resist as it stands.
It actually seems possible that Jadis has little to no control over her own realm, it's all her weird blue-hooded cult and she's just a tool.
>>
>>89827314
>too lazy to live but also too lazy to kill yourself
Abaddon is really playing it hard huh
>>
>>89827307
No, she was placed inside it to save her life. She saw too much of the true shape of the universe and it almost killed her. That's what brought her from second-strongest demiurge down to second-weakest, IIRC.

>>
>>89828943
>having to be the pretty mother goddess queen all the time
Not that it was especially hard for her. The point is for her to posture and look terrifying, not to comfort and wait upon her subjects. She's tired of the effort, of having to look strong to make people fear, respect, and most importantly, obey her.

She only brought up the pretty part in relation to what's expected of women, when talking to Allison about her own life growing up. Of the reasons why Hastet Om picked her to be his wife.

For what she had and has to do for her subjects, all she had to do was guarantee them their continued prosperity and life of opulence.

I'm guessing one of the reasons Mottom is considered "weak" is because she was so beholden to her subjects. She seemed convinced that if she didn't give them what they wanted she would be undone, when the odds are she could break them all with her Key on a whim.
>>
>>89828704
>So, I wonder what Incubus' deal with wine is. He mentioned that whoever he stole the key from is a drunk,
It's pretty obviously Maya.

For some reason I thought the Queen would've been Metis.
>>
>>89829112
Could she? She's kind of a lame usurper Demiurge. All the power she has she got from her husband. I'd be willing to bet Hastet was much more powerful than she is now from whatever she managed to glean from him. I mean look at how his death affected him.
>>
>>89829154
Incubus seems to have taken her seat and key via a coup somehow.
>>
>>89829155
Hard to tell, but it's still doubtful that most of her subjects could've posed a threat.
What I'm wondering is if the actual destruction of her husband might actually make her more powerful.

Fights aren't only one-on-one duels, after all. It can be legions against one. And Mottom rules over the populations of over hundreds of thousands of worlds. She hasn't gotten through all of them yet, but she's definitely gone through a lot considering that the Seven have been ruling long enough that people have only ever known their rule in Throne.

>>
Just how old do you think the 7 are?

There was YISUN and the gods the came into being from holy suicide/division.

Then there were servants, angels, and mortals made by the gods.

Then the gods made the 777,777 universes and turned to stone.

Then 30 kalpa roll by with only the angels in throne before Zoss shows up and wrecks their shit. Then other people showed up after who knows how long.

Presumably some point before or after this humans started masking the hot black flames in the void to make devils and pissed off the angels.

Hunger for dominion and war broke out among all the people who made it to Throne and Zoss fucked off to do ROYALTY things.

Then that war lasted for who knows how long until the seven were left because they apparently worked together at some point.

Then they sat on their thrones for another indeterminate amount of time before Zoss picked his successor to set the current events into motion.

The power of the Old King is always enough, anon. it's the Key of Kings, the limitless true name of god. Not to mention, compared to the old Demiurges, the current Seven are pussies, the old Demiurges wielded power and intellect beyond imagination. Zoss himself could suplex Jagganoth off the edge of Throne, according to Abaddon at least.
>>
>>89830377
As far as we know, Zoss and Meti are the two most powerful figures we've seen. I think the current demiurges are the strongest though, they got their strength by absorbing the keys of fallen key bearers.

Pride isn't the worst sin it's the most dangerous.

And that is because its the only sin that can sometimes be a virtue. A man should take pride in his work or his country while greed is something that should always be avoided. For that reason you can never truly purge pride from your being like the others.
>>
>>89830407
A beggar in the streets could absorb the keys of kings, that wouldn't make him mighty.

Let me ask you, do you consider the crows who flock to a battlefield to feast on the dead to be stronger then the soldiers that fell there?
>>
>>89830414
Well as much as I know Zoss is stronger, Jagganoth's strength is honestly his own, he worked hard to be the most nightmarish of the Seven. The nails only aid him by making him unkillable.
>>
>>89830407
They're not the strongest because they don't really know how to use the keys to their full potential. The original demiurges were fully actualized like Zoss was and broke into Throne on their own. The current demiurges got their power through backstabbing, chance, luck what have you. They may have as much potential as the old guard but they're not actualized like they were. Jadis was pretty strong though and she was able to witness the shape and come just short of death. If she hadn't tried that she'd probably be the current strongest.

The three most dangerous members of the Seven are Jagganoth, Jadis and Gog-Agog. Jagg, for obvious reasons. >Incubus: I hole-hardedly agree, but allow me to play doubles advocate here for a moment. For all intensive purposes I think you are wrong. In an age where false morals are a diamond dozen, true virtues are a blessing in the skies. We often put our false morality on a petal stool like a bunch of pre-Madonnas, but you all seem to be taking something very valuable for granite. So I ask of you to mustard up all the strength you can because it is a doggy dog world out there. Although there is some merit to what you are saying it seems like you have a huge ship on your shoulder. In your argument you seem to throw everything in but the kids Nsync, and even though you are having a feel day with this I am here to bring you back into reality. I have a sick sense when it comes to these types of things. It is almost spooky, because I cannot turn a blonde eye to these glaring flaws in your rhetoric. I have zero taller ants when it comes to people spouting out hate in the name of moral righteousness. You just need to remember what comes around is all around, and when supply and command fails you will be the first to go. Make my words, when you get down to brass stacks it doesn't take rocket appliances to get two birds stoned at once. It's clear who makes the pants in this relationship, and sometimes you just have to swallow your prize and accept the facts. You might have to come to this conclusion through denial and error but I swear on my mother's mating name that when you put the petal to the medal you will pass with flying carpets like it’s a peach of cake.

>I know I will burn out on trying to keep up a webcomic schedule

Why is it a standard thing that webcomics update weekly or triweekly or whatever?
I hate the punchline at the end of the page format of most webcomics, it interrupts the flow nearly as badly as having to wait days between pages.
I've long advocated for a scene by scene update, as opposed to page by page. Each scene is completed and uploaded. This leads to less frequent updates and longer gaps, but I think a smoother, less convoluted flow of story.
This format is probably harder to monetize, but fuck that, the reason I can't update weekly is because I have a job, I'm not doing this to get rich or sell t-shirts.

I feel like Zoss's not-giving-a-shit-about-death is somewhat overstated. He's still around, kinda, but he doesn't actually do anything. He's just a force ghost for Allison to talk to when something dramatic is happening. I'm not convinced he has any power left to affect the world anymore.

I've mentioned this before, but I've had Incubus pegged as the main baddie since early on. It may be a silly reason, but the fact that when the demiruges were first shown, he was the most prominent, featured in the center of the panel, seems to indicate importance. Also, that one's apparently retconned by now with the redrawn first chapter, but his battle outfit looks strikingly similar to the original design for Juggs as he beheaded Zoss.

Solomon knows "the most dangerous martial art in the universe". He's been stated as being the best at fighting save Jagganoth and Jadis at her prime.

I'm hoping that Ki Rata has some Secret Forbidden Technique that can completely ignore Jaggs' gift of iron nails for weird spiritual bullshit reasons. That's why he's so smug. He had a secret weapon this whole time.

That, or he can design an inescapable trap for Jagganoth. He'll have it built by his superb loyal labor force of devils which Solomon David *must* have otherwise I'm dropping the comic.

I read somewhere that lust was initially just a counterpart to greed. Where greed was excessive desire for material things, lust was excessive desire for abstract things.

Catholics only hate feeling good and having ambition when it gets in the way of being worshipful.

>>89831353
I used to love Diogenes, but I now have a hard time not seeing him as a burnout who got all sour grapesy about success in conventional society. His idea of virtues is neat, but his quip about how rolling his barrel up and down the street is equivalent to soldiers and other people working at fortifications just feels bitter to me now.

I still like him as a contrarian, though. It's like he deliberately set out to mock and undermine others as a way of testing and refining them.

Which is all the time because they worship through suffering and guilt.

Lust isn't exactly a good thing even if you're areligious. Excessively acting on lust can lead to things like venereal disease, ruined relationships, and an empty wallet. The thing about the deadly sins that any of them done in excess can lead to quite a shitty situation for yourself.

I have a hard time finding most angels sympathetic because a lot of them seem to be assholes. The ones who are just trying to uphold the law and don't go crazy with it are cool though.
>>
Do you guys think there's any particular meaning to the number 6 Billion, or did Zoss just pick a big number arbitrarily?
>>
>>89830893
There was that one short period where K6BD threads were nothing but shitposts recently but I'm just glad that shit ended. Now we're back to funny edits and actual discussion.

Requesting Solomon David as a smug Pepe.

Solomon probably believes he already HAS brought a golden age in his territory. He is that smug,

So is Solomon going to be KSBDs Perfect Cell?

>super smug asshole that wont even fight you head on, but holds a tournament to see if you can even make it to the finals to be worthy of fighting him

Abbadon thought it sounded cool.

Also Zoss didn't pick the name, I think it's basically Allison's "true name"

It always struck me as him taking the piss.

It's a joke about the terrible angel RP names in the comic's comment section.

You wanted power and you begged for fame
you wanted everything the easy way
You wanted gain - without pain
now your bill is in the mail
You got stronger but your mind got weak
you made a promise you couldn't keep
You had it all - you lost more
it's all there in the fee

anyone have that cropped image of Vigilent Gaze looking super pissy

Oh I never really minded the names. their terrible loreposting deserves an infinite beating though.

Mottom: Grass/Fairy
Mammon: Bug/Dragon
Jagganoth: Dark/Fire
Incubus: Dark/Psychic
Jadis: Psychic/Ghost
Gog-Agog: Bug
Solomon David: Fighting
>>
>>89841756
So that`s why they allied: They`re Dark-type buddies.
>>
>>89841756
Reasonable.
>>
>>89841756
I'd say Jagg is Steel/Fire, not Dark.
>>
Each of the demiurges seem to fit into a fantasy villain archetype.
Mottom is a witch, Mammon is a dragon, Gog-agog is basically an eldritch abomination, Incubus is a devil (soul buyer), and jagganoth is a a demon/ horde warmonger.
Jadis could represent the undead, she`s basically a lich.
And out of the 7, Solomon gives the biggest generic "evil emperor" vibe. Or maybe an evil kung fu master.
>>
>>89837337
Zoss definitely still has power but he's done with the mortal world. He's flying through spacetime and figuring out how to reach true godhood so he doesn't care too much about what's going on in Throne, he just wants Allison to fulfill her part of his plan.

The interpretation I've had for a while is that the only thing he has ever been able to enjoy is battle, and that he *hates* that fact, because he knows how fundamentally broken as a person that makes him.

Juggernaut Star learned all there is to know about tea out of a fascination with the fragility of humans. I would wager that Jagganoth not only knows just as much about tea, but about any number of other refined, peaceful, creative pursuits--art, poetry, flower arrangement, etc.--because he knows the joy that brings to other people that follow that hobby. He's hoping that maybe *this* will be the thing that finally brings him peace. But every time he's left feeling hollow and empty inside.

From his point of view, he's an ugly monster, the universe is constantly reminding him that he's an ugly monster, and that he is entirely incapable of being anything *but* that ugly monster. Eventually, thanks in part to the angelic visit (but he probably would have reached this point on his own anyways) he just decides "well FUCK EVERYTHING, then" and sets out to destroy all of creation as revenge for it bringing forth a creature as terrible as himself. Take Allison's self-loathing times roughly infinity and you get Jagganoth.

It was said at some point by Abbadon that Jagganoth has done a fair amount of poetry.

I like this idea
It's reasonable, isn't out on too far of a limb

He genuinely seemed kinda depressed in that one picture.
