It was shoulder length, not really long but shorter than the bob that's at the end of the new issue. Probably ambiguous on purpose but the newest solicit does mention Lois being "back" whatever that may mean.

Yeah it is awesome and good for Superman but WHY? Because it sends a message about the character and the concepts and values he represents.

It is a natural progression for Superman and it fits a lot better this on-edge, tough-guy we've been seeing. Superman's soft and gentle side is what contrasts and balances out his insane power. And the family gives his life some meaning and purpose beside himself, because being Superman can get very lonely. It gives him something to protect and cherish, in this world, right now. For the scale he operates on, he needs this.

He needs to feel human.

(On a side-note it's mirroring Goku too, but I have a rule, what works for Goku works for Superman because their characters are so alike.)
