It's alright, the best Nightwing run in years. and If your a fan of Dick definitely pick it up. But there are better books out there right now.

short version: It's pretty solid but not must read yet.

long version: The way I see ongoing monthlies you ideally want "readable" issue at worst for the characterfags until you get a really, really good run that other people would want to read, though obviously we get shit books too. So if you consider it to be a scale where shit books are 1, readable books are 5, and all-time classics are 10 then this book is probably around a 7. I enjoy it but it's not doing anything special. Better than just readable though.

I really appreciate how Seeley chooses to dig up older, forgotten characters to repurpose instead of creating new redundant characters.

I hate when a new writer steps on and creates a bunch of new supporting characters and ignores the ones the previous writer had. Dixon spent years giving Nightwing his own small corner of the DCU and Seeley has already shown he did his research and wants to draw from that.
