Now I know the narrative is inevitably going to portray the faunus as entirely in the right in regards to Menagerie's issues, but as it stands it's really hard to see them as having a leg to stand on. Sure, I guess we're supposed to believe that Menagerie is overcrowded and dealing with space issues; but the other kingdoms also deal with expansion issues and Grimm right outside their borders outside of the main kingdom, losing settlements and entire cities in at least vale's case with mountain glenn; so the faunus getting even a small bit of secure, hospitable land from Kingdoms who could already use more for themselves doesn't seem like a bad deal. Like every other kingdom had to carve out their own shit, adapting to the harsh conditions and evolving as a people to survive, the whole point of the setting is that everything is shit, Atlas is too inhospitable even for the Grimm, Vacuo is barely even holding itself together. Mistral also has a problem with a certain bandit tribe raiding and burning down towns while also causing more grimm to appear because of the misery they bring.

Atlas is thriving being so safe from Grimm thanks to the colder environment

They imply that Menagerie is like the Australia of Remnant with small coastal areas that are livable, with a harsh environment and the creatures living in it even worse.

The problem is we never see this area, we never see the grimm, and their animation can make Menagerie look only so packed in, so we can make as many claims as we want but nothing is ever proven beyond what they say.

And we already know the major flaws in their 'tell dont show' method
