Sorry i couldn't post last night. I think one of my students infected me with a life destroying illness and that prevented me from posting last night.

My biggest question throughout all of these storytimes is why are the power levels so inconsistent. Some of these guys are supposed to be able to hurl tanks and shit and can't even take a bat to the head?
Are they all super roid monsters with no toughness to back it up?

Because Ennis is a hack writer with a raging boner for his military tough guy characters. He wants the supers to be a menace to the world but at the same time he wants every single fight to be a curbstomp in favor of his edgy trench coat wearing hard men. Drop the group into any superhero universe with half-competent characters and the Boys would get absolutely raped by anyone above street-level.
