I'm honestly surprised he's managed to stay dead for so long. X-Men Gold is going to create a NEW Pyro and a new Avalanche for the latest incarnation of the Brotherhood of Mutants, I don't understand why they don't just bring the originals back.

Part of me wants to say yes, because he's my favourite Marvel character. The other part worries that there's no real role for him to return to, aside from reforming (which would be cool to see if a zillion X-villains hadn't already reformed) or wrecking all his end-of-life character development by having him be a villain again. So I'm torn.

As you can see here >>89794896 he did change his mind about relations between humans and mutants and did act heroically when he saved Senator Kelly's life. Whether you can call that 'reform' is debatable, but obviously there's precedence for him. It's just that it's kind of been stupidly overdone with a lot of X-villains who really shouldn't have reformed.

I'd just really hate to lose that character development if they brought him back.
