Duck Avengers #3 storytime.
Bump for OP
>>89780782
thanks
reseized a little for MB limit.
>that feel when the foil variant cover for Expocartoon 96 had already sold out by the day I got there
One of kid me's greatest disillusions
Maybe the lesson was that I should've given up comics and dedicate myself to girls, that would explain so much of how I ended up like this
Bump for expecting #1 and #2.
pause time; i will resume later for the rest.
>>89781176
Pretty sure they were already storytimed a while ago. Issue 0 too.
What's their excuse for releasing these so slowly? The comics are all ready done and everything.
Resume.
>>89781544
Because they can
end storytime.
Could the Duck Avenger defeat the Terror that Flaps in the Night?

Thanks mang

If he has Uno with him, no sweat. If not, it's anyone's guess.
>>89782429
with the PKNA version there is no challenge.
>>89780301
Shit this is exactly like the one pk whatever game that I played as a youngin!
Anyone else know what i'm talking about?
>>89781038
Why is the Envron ships so.... Sci Fi?
>>89783792
authors love the Sci Fi and put more in this comic.
>>89781738
I find it interesting that in this alien race where war seems to be the dominating culture aspect, the guy in head of the science sector outranks the military commander.
>>89783792
Why wouldn't it be so sci-fi?
>>89781544
I presume selling individual issues may be less of a barrier to entry for those who might be "Donald Duck as a superhero?" rather than selling an entire volume at once.
Holy shit, why is the art so good? Aren't these licensed comics supposed to look mediocre?
>>89784018
IIRC the Evronian science branch is more like a separate caste, all members grown from specially treated spores to be geniuses. "Ruler" Evronians like Supreme Zotnam and the Emperor also come from special spores.
Also the Evronians are completely dependant on their evrongun technology for war, feeding and apparently starship travel, it's natural they'd put their scientists in high regard.
>>89780734
I love that they use Barks expressions in this. It makes Donald feel more like "Donald" if that makes sense.
>>89782685
Yes, that game is univwrsally hated because it was the main cause behind rebooting pK to Pikappa-
Just let's say the game isn't more than the pale shadow of these comics.

I think in all my time reading Italian Disney comics, I've only ever stumbled over two that could be considered "mediocre", everyone else is top notch.Though I'll admit I couldn't really say if they're Italian since I read the German collection pocket-books, and they never reveal any author or artist names in those.
>>89782219
Thanks OP. Does anybody know what the sales on this book are like? Is it doing well?
>>89781164
originally "Archiater" Zoster, but we can't have kids learning new words, can we?
>>89781544
It's being released bi-monthly alongside Walt Disney's Comics & Stories.
>>89784018
>war seems to be the dominating culture aspect,
it's not WAR.
It's DOMINATION.
Militatry is very effective, but military needs SCIENCE to be even MORE effective.
This was a Science Mission, so the Science Leader got decision rights about the mission parameters.
>>89785790
completely absent in the original- the translators put a number of tweaks in how the characters speak compared to the original Italian
>>89786251
No, but I just learned a new word, thank you.
>>89786514
thank Disney Italy
Yet another itafag here (some posts lead me to believe there's many here who know DA from the original italian edition).
I feel proud seeing people reading the same stuff I read when I was a kid and appreciating it. It's a good translation and the more you get in the more you'll enjoy this ride, trust me.
You'll also get some kind of tingling when Sciarrone's artwork comes up.

>Why wouldn't it be so sci-fi?
Everything that isn't Star Wars just tends to be... underwhelming.
Meanwhile Paperinik Sci Fi is just.... very well designed.
The little i have read always feature cool space gliders, futuristic sci fi weapons, DOMINATION, and masturbatory good designed gigantic space ships that looks Alien for something so.... familiar in design.
Its a real shame the general US translation is at 4/10 tier, and there is barely any scene to get it translated properly into English, especially when Egmont and other publishers do such a good job in their languages
>>89787965
Say what you want about the evronians, they know how to design some cool tech. Now if only they could stop putting duckbills on everything.
>>89788355
But that's their signature design.
>>89788702
They really overdo it. It's a 40k like dedication to slapping your facial features on everything. Why does this thing need every entrance to be a beak for example?
>>89789193
Food goes into your mouth
>>89789193
To avoid making them too alien.
It gives some form of reference when glancing at designs.
Its not like Star Wars where you can't tell where anything is, and any larger object isn't really detailed unless its The Death Star.

I never imagined it would fit so well in 4chan.
>>89784864
these were made in the 90s. hilarious how american comics have shitty art that you find this mind blowing 2 decades later
>>89785891
i know that feel desu. the greek publications only recently started crediting authors and writers a few months backalso rip duck avenger. they canned the series here 4 issues before it was able to finish
