Look up Hanazuki on youtube. All of the current 9 episodes are on there, and supposedly 9 more are being added tomorrow (the Full Moon). Prepare for almost painful amounts of cute with a dash of "what the fuck"-ery and a healthy slathering of "wow, these characters are fucking assholes." It's surprisingly competent for an entirely new IP.

Holy fuck I'm glad I saw this thread. I just watched the first episode and I love this shit already.

Was Hasbro working on this shit back when the Hub was around or something and just decided not to cancel the production? I can't see how they're planning on making money off a show that's only on YouTube. At the very least you'd think they'd put it on Netflix/Hulu/Amazon so they could monetize it to a decent extent. I get that they're probably going to be relying on toy sales, as usual, but how are kids going to know to bug their parents to buy them this shit if they barely know it exists at all?

It's actually a fairly new IP acquisition as far as I'm aware. I kinda wanna say that its production is pretty recent too, but I could be wrong.

I like how the overarching theme of Hanazuki is that black things are bad. Apparently the original creators are from Amsterdam, so it's great to see that Europe is finally fighting back in the war on the white children's psyche.

This show is so adorable. Why arent many people aware of this? I thought Tumblr or Reddit would have spread this show like wildfire.

Well it has received some attention. Episode 1 has gotten more than 2 million views on Youtube, and episode 7 has over 1 million. From a quick glance of the comments, some of the fans are clearly older than the target audience. A good deal of them appear to be bronies or ex-bronies, which is no surprise considering this is a Hasbro property. Still, you would think people would be talking about it on some platform. I would if it has gotten mention on /mlp/ (although I am not eager to go there myself to find out)
