Getting rid of the limb enhancers was Sugar's decision.
And she did it because the other storyboarders weren't using them well enough. Thinking of them as fingers instead of abstract little nubs that Peridot could do anything with.

Message Recieved Peridot is I believe the best episode when it comes to potraying her character.

I was hoping after this she would become a great addition to the team. The Crystal Gems let their emotions and impulses rule their choices, and with someone like Peridot leaning more into the logic and reason into problems she would even it out. This would be a great step for the Crystal Gems to become a more competent rival against antagonistic forces.

Of course I like that she is funny too, a lot of the who's good humor is thanks to Peridot. Though the closest thing we have to an evenly comedic and logical/competent Peridot in our recent episodes is Kindergarten Kid/Gem Drill. Except that she was only interacting with Steven.

Here's to hoping the crew will give us a successful episode where Peridot works with the whole team.
