Civil War ain't a good example, the story is simple stupid enough for anyone to understand. Didn't watch Doctor Strange cause it looked like crap or more of the same.
But the biggest flaw in your argument is the implication as if any other of the DCEU films are actually good, when they're so much worse.

Yeah, that's the name of the game and what determines where the wind blows.
BvS made a hell of a lot of profit but was still a disappointment in the eyes of Warner Brothers, while Suicide Squad (which was also shit) made way more money and more then they expected. By that we can guess where they plan to go with their films.
Now of course money isn't everything, in fact alot of the time it means nothing, but when half of the time the discussion leads to "Which company is dominating what" rather than "What individual movies were good" then yeah, money becomes a pretty big factor despite consumer reactions.
And frankly even if the argument was "Which company is making the best movies in general" Marvel still wins because averaging out, a bunch of okay/meh (and even one great film ala Winter Soldier) is better then a bunch of shit movies and one great one.
>>89773072

Dickbats was after that in Prodigal. It doesn't predate Azbats.

I didn't say it predated, I just said the joke has been done several times
>trusting reviews that are published before the movie is out
C'mon, guys. I'm sure that the movie's going to be fine, but y'all ought to know better than to put stock in anything published during the Honeymoon period. Not saying it's some big conspiracy or something, just that it's pretty standard practice for most film studios to only allow good-to-glowing reviews to be published before the review embargo is formally lifted. You can't really trust them.
>>89776031
then how come BvS and Suicide Squad's pre-release reviews were mostly negative?also if reviews are coming out that means the embargo has been formally lifted
>>89776031
It's already out in some places and non-pros are loving it as well
>>89776031
There tends to be a pretty strong correlation though, and 82 critics is a pretty good sample size. I wouldn't expect any more than a 3% drop after the weekend.

Video game reviews and movie reviews do not work the same way. Press screenings have existed since the dawn of film criticism and the rules have been pretty consistent the whole time.
The arcane ways the internet tries to discredit reviews are hilarious.

TLM has an average rating of 8.2 and a 96% tomato meter and it didn't even get a nomination.

Sure bud.

it's intimate for them.

It seems that would be the next logical step.
That or just straight go into LEGO Justice League.

>That or just straight go into LEGO Justice League.
Honestly, I'd rather them do a completely different LEGO spinoff. There are so many worlds -- why focus on just Batman?

After Ninjago and Lego Movie Sequel, they're doing a "Billion Brick Race" movie
I have a feeling the Batmobile will be involved

That sounds like a Wacky Races movie but with the characters from the various lego worlds.
I hope it's that.
