No, the point is she makes perfect sense, but the truth is uncomfortable.

The fact is One Above All is nearly completely amoral, as such the way Gwenpole acted is simply the most sensible way to act inside a comic book. She knows the truth about the Marvel universe and acted accordingly. Her entire goal was to keep the books entertaining so her book wouldn't be cancelled. The hate she gets is more because the name "Gwenpool" is eye roll inducing. People don't give the book a chance because the name/base concept is really dumb.

It's saddening & I hope some of the funnier/better panels from the book start making it out to casual fans, maybe it'll change their mind on her.

I really liked the first issues when the uncertainty of her being the hero or villain was really in the focus.
Now that they almost abandoned this question she lost a lot of the charm she had for me. I hope that she picks a side, whichever it is and truly grown in it.

Yes, she cites the writer. Is the writer known for using that trope? Is he perhaps Chris Claremont or Adam Warren? No. I'm pretty sure it's the first time this writer used that trope.
