It's probs gonna happen. Ezra hasn't put his foot in his mouth around Sabine in Season 3, and she's much more responsive around him. They're much more comfortable with each other and starting to act a bit like Season 1 Kanan and Hera.

Plus their tag-team in SuperCommandos was legit.

Maybe. He did a little of it for AoTC and RoTS, but not to the extent that Baker did.

In spite of it all, when I read comics or books that have clones, I hear Morrison's voice in my head rather than Baker's.

>Gillard also focused on training Hayden Christensen, who had to convey Anakin's formidable skills with the lightsaber. "We need to see Anakin's flashes of brilliance, the man who will be Darth Vader in action," says Gillard. "He's more skilled than even ObiWan, and he always attacks."

>Christensen, a talented athlete whose sports of choice are tennis and hockey, trained three to four hours a day with Gillard, wearing the ensuing bruises like badges of honor. "You don't feel like you've done your job unless you walk home with a few bumps and scrapes," the actor notes.

>Christensen more than lived up to his character's promise and skills. "Not only is Hayden a brilliant actor, he's one of the most skilled athletes I've ever seen," Gillard enthuses. "To give you some idea of Hayden's abilities, he nearly creamed one of the great Kendo swordsmen in Australia. He was that quick."

Old Canon had OOM series act independently and with more reason. It is possible (extremely fucking likely, given the scope) that several models survived Naboo and clone wars.

Also, the cartoon - and to an extent, the movies- portray the war in a romantic view. Tragedies, sure, but not gritty.
Imagine a movie like Rogue One with droids.

That's quite an unorthodox mix. But considering the key to movement in martial arts is relaxation of the limbs, I can definitely see why tennis would be included. The fighting style of the OT was very tense and stiff, which is a problem i'm slowly working over in my training

>that part where he makes up his mind and cries knowing fully well what he is about to do

>>
>>89736366
Yeah, it is a pretty odd mix, though it is kind of a logical progression of what they were trying to do in the OT. While initially they were trying to do slower-styled duels, with ESB and ROTJ they wanted to do faster paced stuff to show that Luke was getting more skilled. Particularly with ROTJ.

>As we went on, we wanted to have the lightsaber fights become faster and more intense as Luke became more proficient in the art of swordfighting. And so we very slowly started moving away from the two-handed form which is more oriental to sometimes using a one-handed form, and it progressed further and further and a more two-handed and one-handed form.

Obi-Wan vs Maul at the end of the TPM duel will always be my favorite. While i love Obi-Wan vs Anakin, the movements were so fast that it at times was difficult to follow, especially if you wanted to do something like it or extract things from it. Like in the webms posted above I only just now noticed that Anakin yanked Obi-Wan into a physical dance of sorts that ended in Anakin having to defend himself from Obi-Wan's defending blade when his intention was the opposite. Confusing, but when you finally see it, it's really cool.

TPM's duel was easier to follow however, as the choreography was kept relatively simpler. Though RotS' is understandable considering it's between two people who know each other so well.

Star Wars Land's a full-out expansion set on a new planet on the edge of Wild Space that's going for such immersive depths that Disney is having to pay off various corporate groups because they won't be showing any Earthly corporate logos on cash registers and not serving any Coca Cola in the the restaurants because they're that dead set on making you feel like you're actually in Star Wars.

A super weapon built into a planet, which can fire it's laser projectiles through hyperspace with the help of a certain kind of Dark Energy, Quintessence. Which is then converted into Phantom Energy.
This made the projectile punch a hole into "sub-hyperspace", letting it move through the galaxy at a very high speed.

This all before Luke shows up btw. He sacrifices himself to blow up all the Stormtroopers holding them captive tho, but he becomes the symbol and reason for the rebel alliance's formation.

The Yuuzhan Vong are not only the ancient originators of the Force, but the organic creatures known as midi-chlorians. They created the creatures with advanced metaphysical mumbo jumbo gumbo science to link this dimension to a higher one, probably hyperspace, to control physical objects in this dimension in a manner almost like magic.

This is not stupid enough. I must go further.

Do you recall that planet in Yodas arc in season 6 of TCW, where the prietess stated the Force orginated? That was the first Yuuzhan Vong homewold, progenitor of the one they later destroyed, and kinda grandfather to Zonama Sekot. It moved to the Star Wars galaxy because it was seeding life across the cosmos, an ark carrying life; a sacrifice by the Vong of their homeworld to seed life everywhere. Zonama Sekot is also canon again, and left the Vong galaxy to find its "parent" in the Star Wars galaxy

Futhermore, the Vong are the ancestors of humans. Normal humans are basically Vong who haven't altered their bodies with flesshaper techniques and Vong biotech. Remember the Father, the Son and the Daughter from Mortis? All ancient Vong who traveled with their original homeworld to this galaxy. They were very strong in the force, but they never altered themselves with vong biotech

Still more stupid, the first Sith AND Jedi were vong. Plaegius was a Vong, and the last one in the galaxy till they invade for the same reasons in the EU except after episode IX in this canon.

I have done what I can

I'll try to spew some cringe:
A lightsaber that can shoot the "light" of the saber
Lightsaber sentience and powerlevels, the Mariest of Sues get the most powerful and legendary sabers
They will shock anyone else if they try to use them

Sheev actually mutated with the energy that was released from the explosion in the reactor due to his electricity, and as such merged with the energy that was spread out as the Death Star exploded. This turned him into a dark omniscient sentience that filled space

He is defeated by Rey when she unlocks a black hole-like force trick that sucks all of him into a ball which then explodes

The origin of the Force and the universe is explained through a Adam and Eve like tale.
This "Adam" desires power and becomes the dark side god. He is actually Snoke. The "Eve" of the story becomes the goddess of the light side and is actually Rey, but she has no memory of any of it because Snoke deleted her memories.

Which would be great, if they did dick all to develop it.

Stackpole was such a big part of the EU specifically BECAUSE he had comics and books all over the place to take characters down a track to develop them. Even on the odd chance that a novel winds up being good, it's almost invariably a one-off. You simply aren't going to get a new generation's Corran Horn when three quarters of your new protagonists die at the end and the last bunch don't ever get a sequel once their initial arc is done.

Nope, C-3PO is just one of many 3PO units. He was rebuilt by Anakin, not invented.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/C-3PO#Serving_the_Maker

>At some point, however, C-3PO fell into disrepair, and his vital components ended up in a junk pile on Tatooine. Anakin Skywalker, a slave boy from the Tatooinian city of Mos Espa, collected scrap parts and started rebuilding C-3PO so the droid would help his mother. Although protocol droids were normally designed for light duty in luxurious environments, Skywalker specially modified C-3PO so he could withstand Tatooine's sand and heat.

I've been rewatching The Clone Wars but this time I'm watching in chronological order and watching the episodes I missed because I previously followed this guide.

It's made by the same people. The reason it's so good is because Filoni and his team have had 8 years of TCW experience.

I highly suggest you go back and finish TCW. Most people will agree that TCW is actually far better than Rebels. Watching TCW will vastly improve the experience of Rebels too.
>>
>>89747116
>Neither is the Onderon Arc, which introduces the first ever Rebel Cell, and first ever Animated character to later get a Live-Action counterpart
The guide honestly got worse and worse the past few years, because TCW and its stories and characters have only increased in relevancy to the canon as time went on.

I have seen posts (or maybe just a single poster?) here on /swco/ who absolutely INSISTS he can't enjoy anything that isn't the next thing chronologically.

The prequels, Rebels, TCW, comics, books, none of it, he can't enjoy it because "if it's set before movies that are already out, then I know it cant impact the main story, so it doesn't matter."

I think that's a fucked way to look at things, because it discredits the stories being told in those individual episodes and chapters. Not everything needs to have Galaxy-shattering consequences that change the entire future of the series.

And even when stories are prequels, it doesn't mean they cant tell an interesting or even surprising story. I personally think Rogue One for example did a great job expanding and improving ANH by raising the stakes and even giving a retroactive explanation for the Death Star exhaust port.

Vader vs Ahsoka in Rebels is the first proper Vader fight since 1983, and the only one where he is truly intent on murdering his opponent. (This is excluding the Mustafar fight of course). That fight was the culmination of a relationship viewers watched grow for 8 years. But according to that anon, it all meant nothing because he already knows how Vader's story ends, so the fight has no impact on things.

It baffles me that people can think like that, unable to enjoy the story, or appreciate the expansion and development of pre-existing stories and characters. Makes me wonder if someone like that can even be considered a Star Wars fan, because it basically rules out like 90% of the franchise as being unenjoyable to them.
>>
>>89747947
>I have seen posts (or maybe just a single poster?) here on /swco/ who absolutely INSISTS he can't enjoy anything that isn't the next thing chronologically.
That anon said it was retarded to binge the films in release order, stop mischaracterizing what he said.

The thing that bothers me the most about her is how is fucks with Anakin's timeline.

The council never really seemed to like Anakin in pre-Clone Wars CGI show. Especially given the "disrespect" they show him in 3 by letting him on the council without the master rank. But they up and give him an apprentice? That seems unlikely to me (I'm sure it makes sense in the course of the show but just as a concept it seems rather forced) and it damages my overall opinion of the character and the show that is fueled by the concept.
>>
>>89747947
>"if it's set before movies that are already out, then I know it cant impact the main story, so it doesn't matter."
You'd be surprised and/or shocked just how common this opinion is. You'd also be surprised how common austism symptoms are in people who think they're not autistic. I'm not saying this is related, but it's probably related.
>>
>>89748106
The order goes through tough times because of the war. They have to start pumping out Commander and General level Jedi that can handle leading clones in battles. That involves giving apprentices out in ways they wouldn't have before the war.
>>
>>89747947
just because you know where they end up, doesnt mean their journey is less interesting

I love "how we got here" stories, since everyone has a story to tell, and seeing them struggle and fight is interesting even if victory was a foregone conclusion

I dont usually praise the prequels, but damn if seeing anakin be a hero in RotS didnt make his redemption in RotJ more meaningful, it places more weight in Luke's belief that vader still has good in him.

I also love rouge one, we know the plans were delivered in the end, but it doesnt make their actions less meaningful
>>
>>89748056
I am not talking about that anon at all though. My post had nothing to do with watching the series chronologically, I mean the person was literally refusing to enjoy anything that basically wasn't 4, then 5, then 6, and then 7. Anything that came before it "doesn't matter" because it "couldn't affect the future of the story". Pretty sure it must have just been a /tv/ shitposter.

Also that anon you mentioned is right, that is a dumb way to watch the movies. Release-order binge watching of the movies doesn't work now that there is a sequel trilogy and spin-offs. The movies only compliment themselves when watched chronologically.
>>
>>89748106
>The council never really seemed to like Anakin in pre-Clone Wars CGI show.
They don't like him in the show either, they don't really trust him

>Especially given the "disrespect" they show him in 3 by letting him on the council without the master rank.
Do you not realize that the show adds to that by giving him an apprentice? Obviously by now you know that Ahsoka leaves the Jedi Order so it's even more disrespectful to Anakin because they mistreated his apprentice during a trial so she left and therefore Anakin would not be given the rank of master.

>But they up and give him an apprentice?
Yoda hoped it would teach Anakin to learn to let go.
>>
>>89748106
You do realize ROTS happens after TCW, right? There's a reason why certain things aren't the same way they are in ROTS, and Anakin's relationship with the council is one of the things that's shown to be damaged throughout the course of the series.

From Absolutely Everything You Need To Know(but I could swear Dave Filoni said this at some point)

>Q. Why does Yoda give Anakin a Padawan?

>A. Yoda knows Anakin still carries many fears and cannot let go of his tragic past. He hopes that by teaching the Padawan Ahsoka Tano the young Jedi will learn that he does not need to be so protective of those who he loves.
>>
>>89748235
That's fair enough.

I think that watching 1-3 and Rogue One first will only raise the stakes of ANH, and make the ending of RotJ much more powerful.

But I can understand how ANH still seems like the perfect place to start to some people.

>>89748264
"Absolutely Everything You Need To Know" is not canon so not a justifiable source, BUT you are correct, this is basically what Filoni said on the matter. It is implied as much in the TCW movie and throughout the show anyways.
>>
>>89748236
it helps that the most iconic bits of the film, the ones that make you leap up and yell Star Wars! are all in the OT
Vader, the death star, X-wings, TIEs, all the most iconic scenes, they are in the OT
>>
>>89748264
Yeah, Filoni had said that it was a way of teaching him responsibility while trying to ween him off his attachment issues, since a padawan is something he'll eventually have to let go of. The issue is that Yoda, Obi-Wan and the council seriously underestimated just how damaged Anakin was. We as an audience know, but there's a lot Anakin keeps from them.
>>
>>89748289
If you start with 1 and go all the way through you miss out on the Darth Vader is Luke's father twist, which is something that someone watching the series for the first time might not know (especially kids). Impact is completely ruined if you see Revenge of the Sith before Empire.
>>
>>89748326
That's just nostalgia anon, tell that to the generations of kids who grew up with Darth Maul, Plo Koon, Kamino, and Jedi Starfighters.
>>
>>89748351
Not really. Not only is the twist not much of a secret, the impact of the scene remains because you're experiencing it through Luke's eyes. You may not be surprised by the revelation anymore, but you get to see how it shocks Luke.
>>
>>89748351
>If you start with 1 and go all the way through you miss out on the Darth Vader is Luke's father twist,
No you don't even if you know it's coming it still affects you. The moment is iconic for a reason, and it's not because the shock is a one-time thing.

I first saw the films 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and I'm a pretty huge fan. I've read a good portion of the EU, played basically all of the games, watched TCW, and have been keeping up with canon media

Plus, the twist isn't really a secret anymore.
>>
>>89748364
>Plo Koon

Look man, I was 10 when episode 1 first came out and I fucking loved Plo Koon just because he looked. But even today when he's been in several shows, comics, and video games, there's barely any merchandise for him and I'm betting he's not even in the top ten favorite star wars characters in any of that generation. You could have used a better example.
>>
>>89748351
>you miss out on the Darth Vader is Luke's father twist
Honestly most people will know this. You have to find very special cases when pop culture hasn't spoiled this twist.

Watching 1-6 actually better preserves some lesser-known twists, like Order 66, Sheev, and Luke/Leia being related (which works way better in 3 than it does in 6)

You'll also probably not know who is going to survive in the climactic fights of Episode 3. Yoda or Sheev? Does Obi-Wan survive Vader?

Also, what >>89748392 said, the Vader twist is powerful because it works even if you know it is coming
>>
>>89748410
I'm not saying that watching it in whatever order damages your ability to be a fan, it's just IMO that it works better as an arching story with the originals first.

I dunno, you say that, but historically, Han Solo is actually one of the worst selling Star Wars figures, so merchandise isn't everything.

Yeah Plo Koon isn't hyper iconic, I was just pointing out cool prequel stuff that kids who grew up with the PT could name in a heartbeat, and will be able to for the rest of their lives, much how we can name stuff from the OT.

I think the best way in the future to engage in the Star Wars franchise for new aspiring fans is to start with the pivotal historical event of the franchise - The Clone Wars. Watch all of that for background lore and getting the kid interested in action and those characters particularly getting attached to Anakin and Obi-Wan as the heroes, and then just cut em off with the end of season 6. Wait for a while then start em off later at A New Hope. They'll see the startling change of affairs in the galaxy, realize Anakin Skywalker wound up having a son, and reconnect with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Then proceed to Empire Strikes Back for the big reveal and they'll go NO right along with Luke. Then you do The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Revenge of the Sith in order to explain and justify TCW and the rise of the empire. Proceed with Rebels series, stop when it (hypothetically) coterminates with Rogue One then watch that, proceed with Rebels as it (hypothetically)continues alongside the original trilogy, THEN watch Return of the Jedi for the climactic resolution of the whole affair, and watch any (hypothetical) future Rebels episodes that continue beyond it. Then watch the sequel trilogy as is.

This is partly informed by Sam Witwer.

>>
>>89748703
literally every aspect of the franchise is dependent on the rest of the franchise, that's a meaningless argument, you may as well not start at all and ignore star wars in general
>>
>>89748586
Both cases of the twist happen with a verbal revelation.

In Return of the Jedi, the truth is quietly revealed to Luke, who has a brief shocked reaction, and then it doesn't really affect the movie again until the final fight against Vader.

In Revenge of the Sith, you have Obi-Wan's shocked reaction, and the tense, slow drama as you wait to hear the names of the children.

Hearing "Luke... Leia." in my opinion is a much more powerful and interesting moment. You then have, throughout the rest of the OT, the growing sibling bond between Luke and Leia, while the audience watches with dramatic irony, hoping and waiting for Luke to finally learn the truth. You also get to see how destiny (the Force) brings the twins together, reuniting them, it all plays out in a much more significant manner IMO.

As it was in Return of the Jedi, it seems a bit tacked on, with Lucas trying to throw in one last twist to wrap up the story, but Revenge of the Sith helps it retroactively play out in a more meaningful matter across the trilogy.
>>
>>89748628
Assuming this is a serious post, waiting that long to finish return of the jedi seems like a bad idea.

In fact most of this seems like a bad idea. The clone wars will have ended and they'll have no idea how or why. Especially as a kid this will be jarring, as they won't naturally assume that they'll learn as they go what happened (not that 4 or 5 will tell them anyway).

>I realize now that following it was a mistake, because there are some really good episodes they flat-out tell you not to watch or only list as an honorable mention.
This is why I hate that a "guide" exists.
I don't understand why people would other others to watch a tv show and then skip half of it when every episode does serve some sort of purpose even if they are slow.
And because people like yourself are going back to watch episodes that you skipped, it ruins the experience.
>>
>>89753650
Some people have some serious autism about "filler" and bad episodes from what I can tell, that is why these things float around for a bunch of shows.

>>
>>89754974
I think it's because if you still had Battle Droids operating in huge numbers then the public would get upset as the majority of the populace wanted to forget the Clone Wars happened. The former Republic worlds wanted to forget that such a war had occurred and the former Separatist worlds probably wanted to forget that they had lost. The Empire wanted to maintain a viewpoint that it ended the Clone Wars and having Battle Droids working for them would probably have tarnished that viewpoint. If you were a former Republic citizen and saw Battle Droids working for the Empire, would you not wonder if perhaps the CIS did win and were actually the Empire?

yeah they're easily the best books of the entire EU, and some of the most engaging reads ever. On their own, the weaker writing isn't so bad, and is no worse than anything in the new canon, but when you put it into context with the rest of the EU and how it took a great deal of the stuff introduced in the Thrawn Trilogy to illogical extremes, in many cases doing to Thrawn what JJ did to TFA but worse, it's easy to understand why people would prefer the middling mediocrity of current canon to the disastrous cringe of the EU, and how losing a few gems is worth scouring all the garbage away to start anew

I like the semi stagnant stuff where it should all just be smaller and worse performing for example with a further apart galaxy due to way shittier hyperspace and comms.

Speaking of kotor era stuff.

I still love the Hawk's design. It just looks right for me.

I like Traviss's stuff as well. Her work is far from perfect, but the culture she made for the Mandalorians is really interesting and learning about it is well worth dealing with the flaws in her books.

I've been in enough fandoms to know that waifuing and shipping always gets out of hand.

I'd just never seen it in the Star Wars fandom before Disney acquired the rights to Star Wars, although I have no doubt it was present before that.

A completely different episode listing from last time. Bravo MSW.

This one seems more realistic than the last one though. Although that Maul/Obi plot twist would have been neat just to throw everyone for a loop.

Because the Sarlacc didn't kill Boba Fett in Legends and they might do the same in canon as well. I don't remember which book had it, but in one of the canon books that takes place after Episode 6 it is mentioned that a junk scavenger on Tatooine had found a set of acid burned Mandalorian armor in the desert not far from the Sarlacc. So, they might bring him back.

Maul confirmed to die
>>
>>89760754
I wouldn't be opposed to that as long as his new stories aren't as crazy as some of his Legends ones

Aftermath, is the book that has the armor scavenged.

Aftermath: Life Debt confirms that a new guy is indeed wearing the armor, Boba isn't mentioned at all.

So either Boba is dead, or they're planning a reveal where Boba returns, kills the guy and takes back his armor.

They haven't expanded much further than that I think/

Well it depends on the era. If we're talking about just 1000 years before Star Wars, it should be functionally identical but superficially different, in the same way prequels stuff is compared to OT stuff, but exaggerated to a greater extent.

If we're going 3000 years before, we should have some major missing technology, like a lack of miniaturized hyperdrives, meaning only big ships can travel between the stars - fighters become locked to the system and need transport, period, none of this Jedi Interceptor or X-wing strike fighter stuff, or even light freighters. The 3000bby "Millenium Falcon" should be even bigger than the Ebon Hawk, like the size of a Blockade Runner, absolute minimum.

If we're going REALLY far back, 10,000-25,000, not only do you have to do radically different design principles, but the whole philosophy of technology. Think Warhammer 40K tech - months long ultra dangerous warp (hyperspace) travel in slow gargantuan bricks, stubby projectile weapons used along side thick armor and melee weapons (first lightsabers?) and blocky treaded tanks are the only way to put laser cannons on the battlefield.

I'm thinking that it either be the Mandalorians or the rebel cells at this point.

So maybe Sabine leaves to try and work things out with the senpai, or just makes peace with them and in the Season finale Ezra pops in and is like "Now or never you crazy nutjobs".

I don't see how there is any risk or "unlikelyness" for finding a rebel cell. All he needs to do is transmit/find that general and boom shakalaka. But the Mandos are quite freaking temperamental so they're more likely the "unlikely" source of support.

Otherwise how do we explain Ezra leading a team of Mandos onto a freaking Interdictor?

He probably crashes into Sabine's mum's room and is like "yo your girl is gonna die you really should be a parent and fucking save her."

>So maybe Sabine leaves to try and work things out

I think it's pretty obvious she leaves. Her arc now is that they're setting her up as the warchief of the great Mandalorian houses like to what Pre Vizsla tried to become. I really don't think they'd abandon that story for her just so they can keep her part of the main cast.
>>

>Not *artistic screeching*

One job, man.
>>
>>89763156
Or maybe she just strikes even with the family: maybe the family is like "give us the darksaber and we'll call it even, even let you go help your friends."

And then we all think that all of that Sabine shit was just a buildup to some unsatisfactory ending until Ezra brings them into the mess in the finale - Mom chucks the Darksaber at her and and stuff goes wack.

Though on the other hand having Sabine leave means that Ezra has to convince her and her family to join the rebellion all on his own....

I mean either or it'd be pretty cool.
