Over the time it turned into a story where new heroes joined the Avengers team replacing the old members and during the climax it was revealed they were all villains, but it got shelved because of the possibility of fan backlash. Marvel's diversity push is surface level, insulting, and solely meant to cater to people who pretend to be progressive and upset other people. They ignore their actual minority characters and just create new characters defined by their minority status in order to create the maximum profit margin. If they gave a single goddamn fuck about diversifying their line and representation, they would be branching out their genres and actually utilizing characters like Rambeau instead of shafting them so they can get a marketable white actress signed up for a Hollywood blockbuster.
