You can't show filth like that on a blue board, OP.

>>89699863
It's a gradient pink and light red...
>>89699508
Reminds me of my waifu
Just needs some subtle hints of sky blue and light yellow
>>89700825
Did you do this just now or have I not seen it before?
It's beautiful.
>>89701572
Just tonight.
>>89700825
You son of a bitch.

It's a simplistic but impressive representation of masculinity and feminity as two separate things that come together at an end an discover they're not so different, and while a line of contrast is what separates them they need each other to survive. The artist probably intended to show with the ambigous symbolism of the colors that while they look superficially different both are not so different in our minds and we will never be able to really tell which is masculinity and which is feminity as another proof that while different they're both ambigous and in the bottom just the same while still remaining different enough to hold each other alive and wellOr maybe I'm just fucking retarded and so is the pretentous fag who did this
is it an mlp reference
>>89702514
it's a vagina you moron
So I've been thinking about art recently and particularly art like this, shit that's meant to hang on the wall of some museum. I've come to the conclusion that it's not really worth anything unless there's a story to go with it. I mean think about it, you can stare all you want and you'll never really /get/ the artist, y'know? But give it some context and you can demystify what the artist was going through when they made it.
I mean really, in this day and age when anybody can make perfect replicas of artwork and pass it off as their own, what difference does it make who made it? The only way any art would be worth anything is the reason behind why it was made.
/faggot talk

It beats having sculptures of people jerking off into their own mouths.
>>89702541

>>89702644
OP's pic is from a cartoon you modern mongoloid.
>>89702634
At least that's a novelty.
>>89700825
God damn it
>>89699508
An interesting pairing of colors that complement each other well, divided by a separate, clashing purple that partially divides the image. It really can be interpreted in any number of ways, but ultimately at its core it's just that.
The fleshy coloring alludes to sex and sexuality, but rendered in about as minimalist of a style as you can pull it off.
Ultimately it's nothing special on a technical level, it's more of an experiment than anything else.
>>89702655
something something pretending to be retarded just forget it
>>89702611
Seems like you're basically just ripping off the IASIP episode about art with your rant. Real original.
>>89702611
The meaning and purpose of art is very debatable, and frankly I don't have time to do it yet another time

What a masterpiece.
>>89703159
You can't watch a comic you dumbass
>>89703141
It's not a zoomed-in image, it's a stylized painting
Far as I could comprehend it's supposed to represent the whole thing, highly simplified
So, you know, the way teenage boys imagine a vag: 2 flaps or whatever.
>>89702514
i like this interpretation better
>>89702611
>I've come to the conclusion that it's not really worth anything unless there's a story to go with it.
Yes, that's pretty much how conceptual art works. The "story", or concept, behind the work is the most important part, hence it's called "conceptual" art
>>89702751
>>89702644
>modern art
>modern
The "modern" period in art ended in the 1950s or 1970s depending on the viewpoint ffs
It ended half a century ago
>>89703572
Okay but I guess you have to differentiate between [modern art] and [modern] [art]
>>89701074
>light red
Get out of here Donut
>>89705416
I'm pretty sure true pink has traces of blue in it
>>89703141

>>89705416
Not light enough to be pink.
>>89705519
I've heard of this. Anyone know the validity?
>>89699508
What the fuck mods delete this
>>89704600
It usually falls under the blanket of 'contemporary art' now if its past 'modern'.
>tfw it doesn't matter, civilization will collapse soon
