I ordered pic related today as well as the Annihilation Conquest and Ream of Kings Omnis.

Recs:
I buy mostly omnis, but I see you have some Moon Knight, which is Moench's thing.
I have enjoyed both Master of Kung Fu omnis, especially the second. Awesome action with great characters- Mostly by Doug Moench.
The Werewolf by Night Omni (also written mostly by moench) is great too.

I just took a look at that Adam Strange omni again and compared it to the Legion of Super-Heroes one.
I know page counts and what's supposed to be collected in it listed in solicits are to be taken with a grain of salt, but I think it will collect all 3 Adam Strange archives instead of just the material of 1 1/2, which is listed in all the solicits so far.
the solicits say it has 800 pages. the 3 archives put together have exactly 700 pages so I'll get my hopes up for at least all 3 archives in one and maybe even more.
in comparison, the LoSH silver age omni collects exactly the first 3 LoSH archives.

oh fuck me, I I only checked the most recent amazon and edelweiss solicits and they still had the old infos. That's a lot more content than before. and holy shit, 944 pages.
Archives list Showcase 17-19, Mystery in Space 53-91 and Strange Adventures 157 so that adds Showcase 101-103, Mystery in Space 92-100 + 102, Strange Adventures 222 and 226, Hawkman 18-19 and World's Finest Comics 262+263
I really REALLY hope my preorder won't be cancelled like they did with the Doom Patrol Silver Age "omni" (which was advertised as trade and was therefor cheap as a trade but then got removed and put in anew again as actual omni with an omni price) because I'm only going to pay €50 for it which is comparatively cheap as fuck here.

didn't even know there was a collected edition, I only have those stories in 2 trades. while that new printing has a story or two from the Flash 80 page giant, from JLA secret files and the complete crossover with Green Arrow and Green Lantern ("Three of a Kind"), it doesn't seem to have that one story from Secret Origins 50, which is in one of the 2 older trades.

Getting more into getting prints. Anything I need to know about frames, or is it just 'as long as it fits?'

>>
>>89714888
>Anything I need to know about frames, or is it just 'as long as it fits?'
idk if you have one near you, but IKEA sells frames pretty damn cheap. they're basic, but that's sort of how I like it unless you're willing to shell out for custom framing with a nice matte.
>>
>>89716039
y>>89716039
you dont need custom man just shop around online many prints actually come in standard frame sizes.

i own dozens of prints and have never needed to go custom.

That Saga spine looks fucked, was it damaged or just worn out?
>>
>>89716077
>i own dozens of prints and have never needed to go custom.
oh I'm not saying you need to by any means. It's just that going custom lets you, well, customize.

But if you don't wanna go that route (because honestly, it's fucking expensive), then I think the $5-10 poster frames at Ikea are just fine. I've got some expensive original art from comics hanging in $10 frames, and it looks great. It would look better if I felt like spending $200 to get it custom frame and matted, but no thanks.
>>
>>89716145
>I figured I'd include the full Aquashelf
Why don't you make the top shelf the aqua shelf. It looks so cluttered compared to the empty shelf above it. You could leave the shelves the same size, put the three art pieces on the back wall of it (maybe even throw a light at the top of the shelf so the art pops) and it would look a lot neater.

I'm no fan of Saga but ouch... thats why I don't lend out any books anymore, people who don't give a crap treat them like theyre disposable and you get back something you had for years and was in fine condition, and it looks like a dog chewed on it.

I lent out my hitchhikers guide 5 book hardcover before i had even finished reading it because "oh its my friends gf and i've known them both for years, ill get it back then finish reading it." haven't seen it since.

IKEA. if you are american and if you don't live near one, ask someone you know if you can borrow his pick-up or transporter or something (it's a rule that you know someone with a pick-up) or come with you, get some BILLYs cheap and have a nice day in town.
getting shelves in their online shop is too expensive, delivery fees eat up any gain.

Never loan anything to anybody, especially books.

rebellion made the limited to one thousand complete edition. yes illegally, because they did not have morrison's permission or something. morrison threatened to sue and get an injunction against it. he ranted and raved and raved till Steve Yeowell, called his ass out on twitter telling morrison about how he may not need the royalties but he (yeowell) didn't have the fucking money that american publishers gave morrison and needed to royalty's to feed and provide for himself and his family. morrison quickly shut the hell up and signed a document allowing rebellion to print the 4 trade series

Morrison does not look back on 2000AD fondly, unlike Ennis or Moore. Ennis still reads it and Moore writes the odd introduction here and there for material that came out around the time he was there

So, for the 10000th time

Hellboy library edition - OOP? not OOP?
what is the best price i can get them? Is like 30€ the best it will ever be? I have the 12 trade because most were gifts and i have them for a long time now, but some are kinda in a rough shape, and i know they will only get worst, so im seriously thinking about selling them, but the most ill get from them is like 100€ for all, so im looking at about more 80€ ill have to drop for something i already have. Really not sure what to do. Im looking at amazon uk right now and like 4 of the library editions are at 30-35€. they seem cheaper than they usually are
>>
>>89727683
get the library editions. they're also in constant demand and a safe selling point for dark horse and they know it so they'll be kept in print.
they look awesome and they got a bit more material than the original trades so I'd think about switching, besides, they're sturdy as fuck according to other anons who own them.

first off you can't steal Intellectual property because it is an exclusive right to publish. you can not steal and exclusive right ot publish you infringe on it as DEFINED by the very laws that set up IP which says it's not stealing but infringing.

secondly, they did not break the law, morrison did not own the characters rebellion did. it was a civil contract matter not a criminal matter since more than likely morrison would be suing claiming they did not have a compensation agreement and he would have been using that to stop the printing.

Really want to see binding quality, but not ready to blidly buy one, since shipping cost to my country is high

I'm actually just curious now as well I hadn't even noticed that little turtle logo and if those are hardcovers... yikes.

The quality of the binding varies from book to book. Here are some photos of Final Crisis, the binding on this one is ok, but you do get some panels cut a bit.

>>89742121
Yes. I usually try to get my books in hardcover if that is not available I then try Turtleback. When I get books in Paperback is because there is no other choice.

While not strictly /co/... All those /co/mrades that suggested I try out Kamen Rider in the Christmas threads never warned me that they'd be so addictive. I'm wading through five different series (Stronger, Kiva, Fourze, W, and Gaim) plus some of the Taisen crossover movies currently and have picked up WCF for most of them.

And these two, while not WCF, were a pleasantly unexpected surprise that came along with Fourze and Meteor. They're pretty rad considering I'm enjoying W most out of everything I'm watching currently.

Most of my stuff. Already out of space - all that stuff at the bottom is in a different city to the rest and will eventually have to be merged onto the main shelf. Already too much of it there.

it's really no different to regular HCs, made a pic from the regular HC (the one with FC 1-7, Superman Beyond, Submit and the Sketchbook in it) and it has about the same kind of loss.
angle of photo and distance are different, looks like there is more loss in the HC but there isn't.

there aren't any other good complete Hardcover collections on the market that don't look like shit, that's what makes them good
compare it to the Barnes & Noble Lovecraft collection, which looks tacky as fuck and the edges of the pages are silvered so every time you read it you have that silver glint on your fingers afterwards (I own that one so I know).
If it wasn't for that, it would be top class because the paper is good and the binding doesn't suck.
The Knickerbocker classics one suffers from a horrible cover as well, it looks outright childish.
Then there's a Chartwell Books print that looks all right but the paper is thin as fuck (according to most comments by buyers) so I'd rather not have that one.
Most others are sold as "complete collection" but actually aren't.

Picture related is the Barnes & Noble literary classics one, can't really make out the silvered edges but it's there and annoying as fuck.

Also I'm talking about all-in-one editions. the good alternative would be the 2 book Necronomicon/Eldritch Tales books by Gollancz.
>>
>>89756230
Cheers m8.
>>89757916
Aye, for what they are. Cheap, good quality complete sets. Not amazing quality books, but weren't priced like they were either.
>>89758235
Bottom shelf in picture is not connected to the rest of the bookcase, and is in another city entirely. Mostly stuff bought recently while I've been working away that I've not taken home yet.

Wow, thanks. I am a foreigner and was looking for a good collection of Lovecraft (to read in english) for a very long time. Finally I think I have found decent books. I love Poe and Blackwood, too. Gonna order them now.
>>
>>89758744
>>89759082

oh and as a foreigner, I can say the same thing about our collections of Lovecraft, there are many editions, but almost all of it is shit (childish "dark" covers or really silly illustrations on the cover, or bad paper)
>>
>>89709239
no one read that period of Deadpool?
>>
>>89759166

Unfortunately I believe they're OOP now.
>>
>>89759521

>>
>>89759588

I had a quick look on Amazon UK. Poe seems to be in print, and Hodgson is going for reasonable second hand prices. Lovecraft and Blackwood are listed for crazy money.
>>
>>89759637
Well, it is better than nothing. Gonna search more. Thanks
>>
>>89758744
that silver is so cringe
I also have Complete Sherlock Holmes and it's fucking GOLDEN. ugh

I know man, I know. Made the mistake of ordering a whole bunch of Barnes & Noble books because on amazon they somehow look cool, but if you have them then you realize just how tacky they are. Plus the fucking gilded pages.
On the other hand I saw someone on /lit/ with basically every single one of them (there's like 50 or 60 alltogether or even more) and somehow they don't look bad any more then.
>>
>>89761785
hmm, should maybe dust them a bit.
