She just wasn't used enough. Half the episodes where Soos tagged along with the twins as an "adult" sidekick should have had her. Like when they go into Grunkle Stan's mind, or that Bottomless pit episode.

The sense I got is that she's kind of a laid-back wisecracker, and that kind of character has a lot of potential as a background tag-along. Making droll comments on the supernatural going-ons of Gravity Falls, while all the other characters try to figure everything out. A kind of MS3K/Letterkenny Greek Chorus character.

But the writers really had no idea what to do with her. When people demanded more Wendy, they gave her that "Into the Bunker" episode and made her this swashbuckling action girl. I feel like this is a betrayal of her true nature. She's far too lazy to hoist her way up a tree and hit a secret switch with an ax, she'd have other people do that for her. But they stuffed her into the action girl archetype because that was the easiest thing to do.

tl;dr she had a lot of potential, but the writers had no idea what to do with it, and gave all the roles that should have been hers to Soos.

I think that kind of thing deflates when you consider that they went through an apocalypse together. By the end of the series, it becomes obvious that Wendy actually cares about Dipper. Beforehand, it was basically "You're a really cool dude to hang out with."

I proposed a comic series to Garabatoz with the place-holder name "The Club", which was later named Club Sherwood. Gara has mistakenly used the place-holder name I gave him for his lead-up comic.

Anyway, the comic is based on Camp Sherwood seen in >>89734084

In the forest the camp is set on, there is a mansion which is host to a secret society and sex club. They recruit members from various places, but most prominently the youngsters from the camp. The camp staff are all in on it. Said club is the evolved form of a several hundred year old cult which has an arrangement with a spirit of lust which dwells beneath the forest. In exchange for feeding it(by having tons of sex in it's forest) the spirit grants it's benefactors boons such as extended life-span, youthful vigor, sexual potency, beautiful bodies, etc...

The club is run by Penelope Spectra from Danny Phantom who is the administrator, and the club is funded, protected and kept secret by the rich and powerful who wish to gain access to the spirits gifts, these people are known as VIP's and have a lot of power around the club. The VIP's are people like the Northwest Family, the Morebucks, and so forth.

So far it's me and two other guys funding the comic, with Gara on-board. We plan on commissioning a character sheet showing the main characters and some random pages as teaser material, and from there we will invite others to colab the comic. The more people involved, the less everyone pays. Everyone gets a say in who is in the comic and what happens, within reason.

There will be all kinds of sexy hijinks, and we plan on making it as versatile as possible in terms of what we can put in there. We'll be drawing characters from Cartoons, Comicbooks, Anime/Manga and Video Games. The only rule we have is that there will be no characters from the past/future unless part of their character is that they're currently in the present, and no characters from fantastic settings like say, Dragonball, One Peice, Wakfu, etc... though we are planning to have the club have access to various scientific/magical items which allow all kinds of crazy stuff like age changing, body altering(sexier bodies, bigger tits, dicks on chicks, etc...), cloning devices, an item which creates real versions of fictional characters for sex, etc...

The design overexaggerates the age gap, but this wasnt a much a problem in the older concept art. The big problem is that Wendy is supposed to be huge for her age because of genes and Dipper is supposed to be a little boylet like Alex was, but then the artists made all the other 15 year olds about her height like she was normal and the other 12 year olds about Dipper's height. Even for a late bloomer Dipper and Mabel still look a few years too young.
