Fans want a good TMNT show. Each show seems to do some good but ultimately drives fans away as it goes on. It's like after a point, no writer on Earth knows what to do with the turtles.

Aaand then there's the IDW comics which are just the best.

Because S2 dropped the ball tremendously in terms of plot shit.

Just look at Karai. In S1 she was great the Splinter connection seemed interesting and there where a lot of cool story ideas.

Then in S2 the plot came to a screaming halt so we could get episodes where the characters acted retarded and no one gave a fuck about anything, so why should the audience.

For the past 2 years or so, Nick has pretty much pulled all advertising and keeps fucking around with the schedule, resulting in hiatuses that last for months at a time. Of course, this isn't suprising, since Nick has been retarded for years now, and seems reluctant to air anything that isn't Spongebob reruns.

Which is a shame, because I actually do enjoy the show. It also produces some decent April and Karai porn.

Good lord no. It was an Archie comics spin off. That actually fits with the Nick show being heavily inspired by the Wolf cartoon, as the Archie comics had the same style, but with a continuing story.

And actually, that explains Alopex's color and design in the show here. Those old comics had a character named Ninjara, and apparently the rights to that name got a bit fucked over the years. So IDW Alopex is a somewhat tweaked Ninjara, with Nick Toons Alopex being even closer to the shows spiritual inspiration.

To be frank, I'm not a fan of the post #50 storylines. I have hope for the return of Santolouco and the next storyline with the Mutanimals chased by Bishop. Universe is good too for the moment, it got a "Tales of" feeling.

Post #50 IDW is different, but I like that the book isn't afraid to switch things up like that. What's coming up is definitely catching my interest more, though.

I also forgot Archie!TMNT had Mikey getting blinded, captured and tortured by the US government, an alien getting his skin/organs separated from his skeleton by the Turnstone ala Indiana Jones, and Sarnath saving the universe/Donatello by using the Turnstone to collapse a black hole (with him inside it)...

Yeah, those are the ones. I know they skipped a handful of issues in the #30's where they were making their way home from the east (which annoys me, yes), and a couple Mutanimals issues. Was there anything else they skipped? I can't recall.
