Bad writing can't be ignored by just saying "its just like real life hrurfhudurr". I feel like people make that excuse for a lot of things in Bojack. The real reason is that he didn't fit into the story anymore so they "forgot" he existed.

Bojack Horseman is a good show, but too many people use that fucking shitty excuse to dismiss bad writing or bad forethought.

While that may be how the writers want the show to end, I feel like that's just a shitty excuse for him to defend the fact he genuinely couldn't think of anything.

So really all that was left was a meh-ish joke made uderly pointless and stupid. And just because the show acknowledges it, it doesn't make it any less pointless and dumb. It's the equivalent of a shitty Family Guy esc. were they point out a major plot hole or overused cliche, but still do nothing to subvert it.

I like Bojack Horseman but the whole character was just a bad idea from the start.
