Is Lackadaisy worth reading?
yes, the art alone makes it worth your time.
Affirmative.
Yes. If I were you, I would wait until it's done.
>>89608823
He doesn't have forever m8.
The only bad thing about the source material having art this good, is that the porn can only be lower quality.
It's Zenescope's only good comic, sadly
Not really, a lot of people mention the art but honestly it's not that great, just really polished. Story could be better, it tries to jump around a lot showing different persepectives and in just results in a really awkwardly slow pace.
Honestly best thing is the attention to detail, feels a period piece.
>>89608823
Volume 2 ended awhile ago. Did she announce which volume would be the last?I know she stated a couple of times in her stream that she had the story planned out and finished years ago(Or maybe I'm thinking of someone else, I can't recall correctly), but I'm just curious.
>>89608445Yes.However, the comic currently updates 1-2 times every month. After you catch up, its more enjoyable to binge read it after waiting awhile. But like >>89608785 said, the art alone makes it worth your time.
>>89608445
Are you worth punching?
>>89609316
Are you worth living?
The update schedule really puts the "lack" in "Lackadaisy"
>>89608913
Comic will end at Volume 5, she said so in a livestream couple of months ago
It's good.
>>89608445
there's literally about two hours worth of reading. The chapters come out at about bi-annually. You're not losing anything.
The art is amazing, and the story is not garbage either.
All in all, yes. Read it.
>>89608913
>>89611797
She used to say 3... now it is up to 5... she takes forever and keeps adding volumes...
Tracy Butler is the George R.R. Martin of WebComics.
>>89615524
Maybe we could get HBO or Netflix to do a series based off her shit then.
>>89608897
The comic has been around for years now and it's only, what, day 3?
>>89615562
I'd subscribe.
>>89615562
>HBO Lackadaisy spinoff
>Or a early 1900s Lackadaisy+Kite hybrid
>>89615524
What does she do for a living? Does she draw for companies or something?
>>89616166
She used to. She quit her job to focus on her patreon.
>>89616166
>Does she draw for companies or something?
Use to. She works through Patreon, giving out rewards, working on thr comic, and creating other Lackadaisy related projects((ex. Cards, another book(?), and etc)).
>>89609822
Good question.
How do you determine who deserves to live exactly?
>most recent page of Lackadaisy only gets 16 replies and gets archived
>fucking BCB has multiple threads that hit bump limit
There truly is no justice on this earth.
I hope Mordecai doesn't kill bartender dude.
>>89616858
Seeing Mordecai a little rattled is a nice touch. I think he was legitimately worried the guy was gonna hit him.
>>89615562
>>89615627
>>89616024
HOW DO WE MAKE THIS HAPPEN?
WE ARE 4CHAN!
WE MEMED A FUCKING PRESIDENT! WE CAN DAMN SURE GET LACKADAISY A SHOW!
I want a Mordecai/Psycho Calvin show-down. Calvin seems like a hitman just waiting for grooming, once he gets over his squimish-ness.
Plus the cutesy factor could be a nice cover. Mordecai is funny to watch and all, but I'm not really sure his end-game. Just work from bootlegger to bootlegger?
>>89616996
Unless you can get /pol/ to lend their meme magic, I don't see it happening. Animating something as high fidelity as Lackadaisy would take an insane budget, plus all the potentially controversial stuff in it (violence, guns, etc.) would likely cut it off from larger cartoon producers.
>>89617093
>plus all the potentially controversial stuff in it (violence, guns, etc.) would likely cut it off from larger cartoon producers
Maybe as television show, but they could easily go the streaming route or direct-to-dvd for a mini series or movie. Although a Lackadaisy cartoon sounds nice, I can't really see anything happing at least until the story officially ends, which is a very long time from now. A cartoon deal probably won't fall in her lap, even though the comic is pretty popular for both furries and normalfags. She would need to do multiple tasks on her end, pitch the show, and do other time consuming nonsense. Also, can I get a quick rundown on the sexy man in your picture?
>>89616858
>most recent page of Lackadaisy only gets 16 replies and gets archived

You missed the first thread for the most recent page. It was up for more than 24 hours.

>>89617010
I think eventually Tracey is going to shed more light on Mordecai's background. We know he had a little sister and grew up poor, but we don't really know how he got into the business.
>>89617349
>>89617501
Thanks, senpai.
>>89617467
???
>>89616858
BCB updates MWF, Lackadaisy despite the author's patreon netting them more than 62,000 dollars a year updates very rarely. It should be obvious why webcomics with frequent new content get more discussion.
So Gracie remarks that Mordecai is a fellow lefty...but a few pages before he's shown holding the gun in his right hand?
>>89617529
To be fair to Tracey, she does prioritize getting patrons their rewards. I'm not sure she anticipated the sheer amount of work that was going to be.
>>89617470
But we do. He was on the run from some bad guys and Atlas saved his scrawny ass. So he started working for Atlas, along with the slavic heavy. Then something happened and Atlas was dead and he was working for the Marigold guy.
>>89617603
She should have developed a new strategy to enable herself to have a page a week update schedule
Do some rewards
Then do a page
Do some rewards
Then do a page
Rather than trying to reward people as fast as possible, since the reason they're patronizing her is because they want to read the comic
>>89617611
Oh right. I should read through it again actually. Freshen myself up.
>>89617675
I agree. I think this is a trap a lot of patreon artists get sucked into and they don't balance it well.
>>89617703
Because there isn't a proven model for it yet, otherwise they would all be following it.
>>89617467
It's pretty much a given that any webcomic author you encounter online will be a SJW. That's why I usually don't go on any of their social media and just enjoy the comic based on its own merits.
>>89618192
This. Never meet your heroes. You will be disappointed.
>>89618206
Got any stories/experiences you could share?
>>89618226
Nothing interesting unfortunately(like anyone /co/ would care about), but to put it shortly, I've simply learned to enjoy what someone produces without caring too much about that person. haha Makes it easy when you find out they're assholes.
>>89618250
Ah, I get what you're sayin'. Thanks.
>>89617093
I have said before, I feel like it could be a top tier Indie film that gets an Academy Award nod (not a win of course, as those are reserved eternally for "Pixney"). There are always 2 or 3 more "indie" films the Academy puts up so they can trick themselves into believing any of them actually give a fuck about art lol.
I think Lackadaisy would be a shoe in for one of those nominations.
>>89617349
It's a pol thing. Hang there for 2 minutes and you will see them.... but just so we don't need to keep talking about it:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Igor_and_Grichka_Bogdanoff
Too much surgery and you can literally become a cartoon. Who knew?
>>89617467
Wait... when did Tracy become a SJW? I figured she was more liberal, cause "le goode artismo" -- but I never hear her go full on KoolAid.
>>89617611
Mitzi had something to do with his betrayal. She did something, I believe, that disgusted him, and while he was not ready to just go ass-burgers and kill her, he could not work for her any longer.
.... ............
.....
.....
Unless he is a deep cover agent.
>>89617730
Get an assistant?
Or... meth?
>>89618478
>Or... meth?
Here in Missouri that shouldn't be a problem.
>>89618510
You live in Missouri? Are you Tracy?
>>89618416"can I get a quick rundown" is part of the Bogdanoff meme
>>89618463
Meanwhile on Mr. Rocky's Wild Ride!
>>89618735
Well. The Mordecai/Mitzi/Atlas thing is one of the bigger mysteries in Lackadaisy.
The other big one I can think of is what was the big unspoken event that got Rocky kicked to the curb for so long? I assume it was triggering Freckle early in life.
>>89616024

>Mordecai/Psycho Calvin show-down
That sounds really interesting as an official comic scenario, or even a traditional fan animation. If Tracy can find a way to squeeze this into the story, I'll go bananas.
>>89618437
You misunderstand, according to most anons, anyone who's mildly liberal is a SJW, even if they dont agree with most SJWs
>>89622970
>Fuck Serafine
I think her brother is way ahead of you on that
>>89625633

>sometimes shown to be VERY close as siblings
>believe they only have each other from their orphan days
>both hot as fuck
I just wouldn't be surprised if they fooled around on occasion.
>>89626813
It's like you said, they're both hot as fuck, also they were born in New Orleans. So it was inevitable, desu.
>I just wouldn't be surprised if they fooled around on occasion
If the whole 'enjoying taking advantage of Modecai's difficulties with humor' is still pertinent, I'd imagine Nico and Serafine played around with each other in front of him at least once. Nothing too explicit, something tame like giving each other blowjob/handjob gestures while collectively chuckling at Mordecai's puzzled expression. It's a shame theyargue all the timethough, I do recall somewhere that they became angry or passive aggressive to each other in private as they got older over time.
>>89626813
Serafine is only incidentally heterosexual IIRC.
