What went Wrong?

All of them(except Golan) were Family Guy/Simpsons clones with really shitty writing and no real good comedy to hook people in.

In the case of Golan, people were over saturated with Family Guy/Simpsons clones with shitty writing at that point and never gave it a real chance, and those that did ironically found it too different from the norm to get interested.

They've literally been trying over and over again to find the magic formula for making another Simpsons clone since day one of Simpsons's popularity, it's just that all the hundreds of attempts have been lost to time and only Family Guy took off, and even then it needed DVD sales to come back after like five years off the air or something, a lot of people forget that.

Actually, if you want to be technical about it they've been trying to find the magical animated sitcom formula since Flintstones and only Simpsons really took off. It's an endless loop and one day Family Guy will be successfully cloned, too.

The Goode Family was just Mike Judge trying to be "fair" to liberals and remaking KotH in that style. They're a little too parodical to be enjoyed in the kind of genuine way KotH is.

And Golan was unfortunately shown along with Stone Quackers, which was a show so incredibly good that it and everything related to it was wiped from this earth.

Moonbeam City had great art and music but the writing was beyond terrible. It deserved to be canceled because of that, but it's a shame because there clearly was a lot of talent involved on the art side.

Chozen. I gave it a watch, and it was pretty bad. It was very obviously trying to follow the same beats as Archer, but wasn't smart or funny enough to pull it off. Plus the main character was annoying as hell.

King of the Hill and Bob's Burgers did well.

The trick is to not make it a 1:1 copy with just a family in a house in a neighborhood. There has to be some kind of difference in there somewhere to help it stand out and then tell its story.

Family Guy did it with the ever constant cutaways, now it s doing it by being the most nonsensical wacky thing it can possibly be with nonstop shock humor.

King of the Hill at least went for a different setting with small town in Texas instead of the same old mid western suburb

Bob's Burgers merged the home with the job place and mixed family with wacky employees. Outside of that it is the typical Charlie Brown, main character is a constant loser series.

Futurama was the only one that really left the formula, by doing the 20 somethings friends in the workplace comedy but in space.

While King of the Hill was a series based entirely off the Mr Anderson character, Goode Family was the same thing only with Van Dresen while still using the same cookie cutter concepts for the rest of the family.
