To be honest, Keith can actually be the better choice maker than Shiro in situations that require immediate action. Shiro is an excellent strategist and knows how to optimize the abilities of his team, but when things don't go as planned he ends up being aggravated. Keith is much more versatile and adjusts to new problems thrown at him easily, but he is not one for detailed strategic plans and would rather just ram his way through. Hopefully, the rest of the team can help him with the planning bit- pretty much all of them are better at it than he is.

First scene was in the flashback sequence Black takes Shiro on. You see Black using the teleport ability. This is the first tipoff to clue the viewer in that 'oh it can teleport'.

Second scene is where Shiro used the teleport ability to take the Black Lion's bayard right out of Zarkon's cockpit. This shows the viewer that the power can be used to transport objects that are NOT the lion across distances.

I personally also count Slav's yammering about alternate dimensions or timelines and Black's weird nega dimension ("If you die in this reality you die for real") as a part of it but it's my own personal pie in the sky theory so I don't strictly add it in to the foreshadowing pile.

In a moment of utterly tragic cosmic irony, Allura will attempt to give Lotor the benefit of the doubt despite the concerns of the Paladins (who are worried because they can't find anything about Lotor) and the protests of the Blade of Malmora's remaining members (who have heard from their histories that Lotor is even worse than Zarkon) based on how she knew him to be a good friend 10,000 years ago.
