They both have reasonable backstories for those specialities tho - Dick was raised by the Flying Graysons, Damian was raised by the League of Assassins.

They never really bothered to justify why Tim was such a computer prodigy beyond "he owns a Personal Computer in 1990" - or Barbara for that matter really, but at least she had the excuse of having nothing but time and turning into a NEET for a while. You've gotta remember the Batman writers, hell 99% of comic writers at the time were middle-aged baby boomers, so they honestly really didn't understand how the hell computers or the internet worked, but young peopled seemed to, so they would show off how their young characters were "with it" by flaunting their "hackitude".

And that escalated up to Tim just shutting down the League of Assassin's entire network with off-panel l33t h4xxing in DeFalco's character-cock-sucking Red Robin.
