Why did it get cancelled?
Megas was too complex to make toys out of unlike transformers.
CHICKS
Apparently not enough people dig giant robots. You, Chicks and I aren't enough

At least it got a satisfying ending.
the only reason it even got a second season was because they started working on it before CN could cancel it
>>89579674
Not really. The glorft still exist, the war still wages in the future all that was resolved in Megas was Coop escaping a parallel dimension
>>89579701
Cartoon Network really hated this show.
Wasn't it pretty popular with anime fans and young adults?

>Cartoon Network really hated this show.
I'm not knowledgeable in how much love they had for the show but the whole thing was done on a tax leave so... didn't they have a sort of cut-off for how much stuff could actually be made?

WE
The last reason I heard was that it was expensive as fuck to make for very little (if any) payoff.
It should have had at least 4 seasons with a total of 52 episodes.
CN has an ever growing list of robot/mecha cartoons they either never finished or just stopped airing
>>89581546
Like what?
>>89581377
I think it's the same thing that action cartoons in general face these days.
They're comparatively expensive to produce, and networks seem to have no idea how to market them effectively.
>>89581377
Nah, it was basically used as a tax writeoff. They can't legally resurrect it.

>literally two of the only really good Western mecha cartoons ever made
>both got cancelled way before they should have
>SBT didn't even get a second season
Still mad. I haven't watched Voltron yet though, I hear that's supposed to be good.
>>89579674
Both had really good last episodes though, I don't know if I like the HMER or the reverse coop mech more.
I might have to give it to symbionic for a better large battle though, landing a mech on a giant spaceship is amazing.
>>89582475
I went into SBT knowing that it didn't have an ending.
If they hadn't finished that Octus arc I would have been actually tangibly mad.
>>89582770
Only problem I have with Voltron is it's written in weekly episode beats but released in Netflix binge watch format.
>>89582057
That's SBT. What happened was a new guy was put in charge of CN and Megas didn't fit the image he wanted for the network.
>>89585110
That sucks
>>89578913
Apparently, they didn't think it was Nice.
