I would have preferred they ship off Bruce. Also creating a huge conspiracy around the death of his parents, instead of it being just a common mugging, ruins the whole fucking point of Batman. It would be like having uncle Ben be murdered by doc ock instead of the mugger from the wrestling match.

It has only gotten better....it actually started out quite rough with lots of boring shit, but it's now consistently entertaining

Honestly, for me it got better.

I went from thinking it was incredibly stupid when it started to hate-watching it and then I started to care about the characters and being interested to point where I'm genuinely enjoying the show.

Jerome should have stayed dead though. I was actually on board with the whole Face/Off transplant thing.

I felt that way but this way Bruce quickly learns about how corrupt the world really is and how much crime there is in it. It being a random act instead of a planned thing isn't really the same level as Ock though because both of those motivate Bruce to put an end to all the crime while it being Doc Ock instead removes Peter's entire sense of guilt (unless Otto had a side job as a wrestler for extra cash and ran off after robbing his boss).

But still she was gone most of season 2 & for about half the season 3 episodes. If she shows up it most likely won't be for more than like 2 or 3 episodes because she is a recurring character on her best day. Her main reason was to give Penguin an opponent on his rise to power and even if he loses some status he will never be her sniveling lackey again so she never has reason to be the focus again.

Having Batman's rogues when all of them should be Bruce's age. Gordon should be dealing with original villains, or, more likely, mob bosses with no weird powers, and corrupt killer cops. Super-powered weirdos and bad guys with gimmicks didn't really show up until Bruce became Batman.

Gotham should've been 3 seasons tops. First season is basically perfect for Bruce, 2nd should've been Bruce beginning to the training and this season should've been the last with Bruce outgrowing all his teachers and masters so he runs away to travel the world. Instead we got a static whiny Bruce who's puppy love with Selina overshadows his need to seek justice. Seriously, fuck shippers this is all because of them.
