It made me want to buy a happy meal

Was cute enough but the fact every character is basically equal parts the primary story is weird because they all just sort of change focus every five seconds and they're not in sync so the film is a constant rolling ocean of highs and lows where you can't be emotional about the gorilla dad disowning his son because five minutes later the porcupine learned to accept herself as worth something.

Also the singing bits of SING are weird. I liked the final numbers but everything prior to that is a grand total of 4 minutes of snippets of half a verse of a song for no real reason. The auditions shown in the trailers are basically all the singing that goes on for 80% of the movie.

I manage a theater pub. We had this movie for 7 weeks.
That was the most racist movie ever for kids. Parents were commenting on how racist it was.

The banker was a jew named Jewdith.

The trash pandas were Japanese..
and so on and so forth.

I liked it. I didn't love it and I wouldn't watch it twice but it was fun wholesome schlock and I don't regret seeing it. I hadn't heard the Elton John song that the gorilla boy sang, and it was really good.

Ehh.. it was okay. About what I think of Moana. The world building left a lot to be desired. Japanese red pandas were the only think that made me smile in the movie.

What it was missing were scenes where the contestants were bonding. They seem to coalesce as a group of friends completely offscreen.
