Yeah, I always thought Daran Norris was insanely underrated, but his modern-Cosmo voice is just so annoying.

He was better when he was the sorta-kinda Phil Hartman impression (though I always appreciated how he and Wanda's actress were also the voices of Timmy's actual parents as well).

Even Timmys voice sounded much better in the first season. Every season since then all the character voices became more high pitched and grating. That's one of the reasons why I find Season 1 the best and most watchable overall.

While I don't physically laugh while watching it, I can appreciate the clever writing of some jokes. I guess with enough getting used to, you can start to chuckle at the character's antics. Same with The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis (pic related).
