I find it really relaxing and enjoyable to watch. It makes good background noise, and I find it overall very pleasant. I am glad there is at least one show this on air.

It's alright but it's worth talking about as frequently as it airs. I don't miss the kind of posting that got it moved to /trash/.

Why isn't there more replies?

I like it more than Steven Universe.

>>89509992
Yeah, there's something really feel-good about this show. Watching an episode feels like sipping hot cocoa.

We're almost 2 months since the last episode aired, and everyone has probably posted everything that could be posted by this point. There's a new one next Friday, there will be something to discuss then.

It's alright. It's almost sickeningly contemporary, and this has the effect of sometimes making the bears so useless as to be annoying. But most of the time, it's reasonably humorous filler. The week that it premiered I was quite impressed by it, but it didn't quite live up to that quality and the following episodes were more hit or miss.

Ice Bear best bear.

The thing is, the bears having trouble because they're bears is not really a major theme of the show. Really, most of their troubles come from the fact that they're prototypical lazy young adults. I get what Chong's describing here, but I don't see it being reflected in his show.
>>
>>89513181
He was talking about how a lot of the background characters are abrasive to the bears, not the whole makeup of the show and it's plots. It's not their laziness that turns the city people off but their forwardness, naiveté and being too big and loud to walk around easily or ignore.
>>
>>89513989
I guess...

I dunno, I still don't really see it

>>
>>89513989
Maybe its because they are fucking adult size bears in a major metropolitan area, ever think of that?
>>
It's got some well-written stuff, the bears never get too annoying or grating, they manage to balance being clueless and inept with actually surviving, etc. For all the complaints some people have about cartoons forcing diversity and such, I think this one does it well; people are just there. It doesn't feel like there's a quotient for certain races in scenes, they just spin a wheel and bam this character is that. Sometimes just having people of different colours and religions doing regular people life stuff are all that's needed for kids to see themselves on TV without it being forced and shoehorned by writers who don't know what they're doing.

Also I didn't realize Ice Bear's talking in the first person thing was because he was raised by a Russian, that's a nice touch.
>>
Comfy
>>
I generally find it mediocre but I do think it's funny there's a children's show with an anime body pillow in it.

There was a body pillow in an MLP episode this past season. On it, a character was bound by rope too.

It wasn't even a quick background gag, one of the main characters pointed it out.

Just search Daring Do body pillow and you'll see in-show screenshots.

There was also an episode where one of the main character's brother was a legit NEET, and they have to kick them out of their house after he can't get his shit together, and he ends up going insane in the woods.

You know how Scooby Doo eventually went kind of off the rails? That's what's slowly happening to MLP.
