why are webcomics so bad?

This is a blue board which means that it's for everybody (Safe For Work content only). If you see any adult content, please report it.

99% of everything is crap.

Less quality control.

-No editors
-No producers setting a schedule between projects or vetoing bad decisions
-No profit, so real jobs take precedence
-Probably the worst format for long narrative storytelling. Awful pacing issues.

Theres no quality control, you can put out anything you want and theres nobody to stop you.

Are you implying regular comics are good?

The biggest problem is that webcomic artists, even if they have no talent, have weak integrity

It's really easy to listen to the people who suck their dick and over time, their comics become less about what the artist wants and more about pandering to the people who love them.

Good artists ignore what their "fans" want.

It's like what Henry Ford said about cars: "If I asked what people wanted, they'd have said faster horses".

People don't know what they want. Good artists ignore them

I only read porn webcomics and they are excellent to be honest with you family

Well, not all webcomics are bad. Some have titties.

But yeah, generally having no sort of editor, no structure in schedule, and no standards in production quality leads to general laziness. Creators can't seem to challenge themselves, leading to comics that go stale. Either by being great comics that stop updating or comics shitty from the get-go.

It doesn't help that these comics become justified by pandering either. Used to be heavy on the gamer crowds now it's the SJW crowd. Basically whoever can scream the loudest at the time.

Sometimes you get some gems. But Perry Bible Fellowship barely updates. Endtown is good but can definitely suffer from the pacing its style of updates allows. Dr. McNinja had the right idea but even though the production drastically improved the writing varied in quality and it's ended now. Gunshow had great potential and it was shit all over.

You're never gonna win 100 percent with webcomics. Not until creators step their game up.

The art in this webcomic seems to have gotten worse than when it started.

>mfw Alfie is probably the best webcomic series out there
>>
>>89502703
Because once an artist/webcomic has an established fanbase, the artist can do anything while a horde of people praise him

It's not just art, it's everything about them.

Dude, QC has always sucked. I remember reading it around the time it first came out and thought wow this is shit. Revisting it over the years it's always shit. How the fuck has it managed to keep going all these years?

Webcomics are mostly bad because nobody can stop them I guess

Next step is to turn your gf INTO Alfie. The surgery might be illegal and expensive, but it'll be worth it. Remember pics afterwards.

Its like fanfiction, no limitations or barriers mean you see a lot of the awful crap, and the good stuff is hard to locate.

I'm aware that Imgur.com will stop allowing adult images since 15th of May. I'm taking actions to backup as much data as possible.
