1) Breaking into the Castle all by himself...so they can have a friendly dinner and chat. For two, because he only brought enough food for the both of them. Bonus points if it's fancy Altean cuisine.

2) Inappropriately timed poetry thrown her way.

3) Revealing that he stole a chunk of the destroyed Altea to use as a resort home. Restoring its former splendor so it's just like how it was back when they were children. Attempts to give it as a gift.

4) Dream invasion. Not macho or overtly thorny like Zarkon's and Haggar's, but genial and all the sleazier for it.

5) Telling her that he's waited and searched for her for 10,000 goddamn years

It's not some earth shattering epic, but if you're not going in with huge expectations I think most folk could enjoy it. The setting is good, the world building is decent. It's pacing is a bit slow in some places, but I find it tolerable.

I think what it really comes down to is if you love or hate the individual characters and the humor. Give it up until about episode 6 maybe. If it hasn't grabbed you move on.

It's fun overall. I'm not gonna lie, it does have some flaws, some of the jokes can fall a bit flat, characters can feel under developed at times, and sometimes it moves so fast, it's hard to get a breather.

But I feel like the good aspects of it outweigh that. Good character designs, fun villains to watch, good fight choreography, and the like. And despite what these threads would have you believe, there's no shipping.

I for once want Lotor to be completely different.

If they made Zarkon in Legendary Defender a insanely badass dude, then even this show's Lotor should be all but a carbon copy of his previous incarnations.

Don't get me wrong, I still want him to be an arrogant jerk, but an arrogant jerk that has the skills to back up that arrogance of his and having redeeming qualities.

Maybe even being something of a anti-villain/anti-hero (with more villain in the former and more anti with the latter), but wanting to earn the Galra Empire by being a villain with good publicity due to him not trying to be too much of a douche to non-Galra.

In case of Allura...we need to see more about the past involving Altean and Galra, though it would be hilarious to see Lotor breaking into the Castle of Lions by himself and bypassing anything Pidge and Coran made.

I think the mom was a Galra but probably had to leave after he was born or some time after. The dad is the human but he's most likely dead, which is why Keith is an 'orphan', because his dad was the only parent on record and with him dead there was nobody else to claim him.
