I think it's more just the hyperbole of the internet. It's not the best run, but it's definitely better than average. The hatred for this book is coming from the same autistic mentality that believes an 8/10 is a shitty video game.

To be fair, King's Batman was #4 and #5 last month. The only things that beat it were event comics (JL vs SS #1 and IvX #1) and Dark Knight III.

The whole market has started to slump a bit. If it drops below 100k, it's a reflection on the market as a whole and not specifically King's run.
