It's kind of difficult to know if he's a pedo or not since it's not clear where the comic takes place or whether the characters have aged since their introduction. Assuming America and assuming the characters are all under 22 (since Alejandro first appeared in a bar so he might be able to drink or has a fake ID) most states have either 17 or 16 as the Age of Consent and most which have 18 as the AoC tend to have laws which enable people within 4 or 5 years of each other to have sex legally. Very few states would penalize an 18 year old for fucking a 17 year old. Also it is kind of odd to accuse someone under 30 of being a pedo for fucking a late-teens person, since people under 30 are all kind of viewed as similarly immature by larger society.

I honestly don't think Sandy has any damning true colors to show, at least nothing we've been given enough hard info to support (like Sandy's long bouts of radio-silence and her suspicious breakdown in front of Mike about him being "So nice").

From all of the interactions we've seen between her and Mike, their love is genuine. The main problem being the circumstances keeping them apart: Sandy's career, which she's starting to embrace more lately. If there's any break-up between them it's going to be tragic and messy because at the moment, neither one is showing any signs of wanting to let go of the other (which sucks because I really want to find something to hate about her so Mike can get a clean break.)

Paulo seems particularly sensitive to Mike & Sandy's relationship because Paulo went through the same shit with Jasmine. Mike is acting like he needs to be supportive and loyal while entirely forgetting what he parroted to Lucy "My happiness is worth something, too". I'm hoping Paulo's hyper-awareness of this bullshit pays off later.

Well, I for one have no idea how they both can keep a relationship for this long that totally lacks communication. This is a common symptom of long-distant relationships in general. I met my wife online originally and we could chat online for years like we were best friends.
But when you meet in person, you're essentially meeting a stranger. It can take days or weeks to connect the person in front of you with the faceless username you've been associating with for so long.

Taeshi and Suitcase undoubtedly went through the same thing and could very well be mirroring their own experience with Mike and Sandy.

Sandy and Mike separated when they were in the 3rd grade, and she comes back years as a career supermodel with only less than a day total ever seeing each other in person. Awkwardness is understandable.

I'll give you credit about the other points, though. They don't really have enough in common to keep a meaningful relationship, other than she likes to talk and Mike is a good listener.

Abbey - I feel bad for his circumstances, has alot of issues and gets the short end of the stick. Fuck Daisy for leading him on so much - hope he finds some happiness.

Augustus - He's kind of interesting, again bad situation and is an underdog.

Ehhh that is kind of it. I used to like Daisy but she is kind of a bitch the way she treated Abbey. Lucy and Mike are boring AF, Paulo had some good moments but otherwise is annoying. Then there is "the rest" which is meh.

The SuexDavid dynamic shown in some of the extra content is both weird and intriguing because there's no hint of it in comic itself.

Like, I don't think I've seen a single positive interaction between them, 99% of it is Sue being embarrassed being anywhere near him when he opens his mouth. The "Critical Hit" chapter showing -maybe- there's some interest there from the fact she kept following David and Paulo around to keep them out of trouble, but I don't know if I'm looking too hard there.

The only respect she could possibly have is how he's able to orbit so close to the drama-llamas without getting any of it on him, which is something she personally tries to do, herself.

I'd be interested to see something canon that shows a different dynamic between them.

There were LOTS of times where Mike and Lucy could've just ended up together. Half of it is on Mike for holding Sandy up on high some pedestal, as if she was the best thing ever to happen to him and throwing Lucy into the trash during those moments. Half of it is on Lucy because of how she portrays her love for Mike.
