I actually have a lot more hope, the Red Ranger being a take on Andros is nice to see, and the rangers seem likable. While Dino Charge had it's weird moments I liked it, and Nininiger has good action.

The issue is the footage that Serpentera comes from in Dairanger doesn't lend itself to that.

See in DaiRanger, it's actually a giant space dragon god that shows up when fighting gets too intense

So during the series the big Dragon shows up and say "Stop fucking fighting so hard or I'm killing you all" and then flies away. That's why they had to give it the whole "shit battery" gimmick in power.

The Daijinryuu ascribes to "Dragon" ethics. IE, "If the heroes and villains are fighting over a populace, just fucking make all the members of the populace kill themselves"

Kim and Tommy were dating, Kim left the team because her parents were getting back together in France and she'd been invited to a tournament there, then she never came back and basically broke up with him by letter after a few months of not being around. He'd been faithful, she hooked up with a mysterious stranger (implied to be Jason in the Turbo movie, but all the scenes that established Jason as her current boyfriend got edited out of the movie.)

Two reasons, mainly. First, because Tommy/Kat is just as popular in areas of the fandom. Second, because the people running Power Rangers REALLY like Tommy/Kat. She was supposed to pop up in Forever Red for a cameo (her role was written out in an early draft), she was gonna be a big character in Hexagon (Before it turned into Ninja Storm because Disney bought the series. That said, I really doubt Hexagon would've been made anyway. Too ambitious.), she was going to be Tommy's assistant in Dino Thunder (except the actress was pregnant)... Apparently that Christmas episode that showed Tommy married to Kat in their old age made an impact.

The lack of relationship is probably to make Kimberly/Jason easier to push. I don't know how far along the movie was when the comic started, but I doubt this was done for movie synergy the way Marvel and DC do theirs, but there's some synergy with Turbo: A Power Rangers movie (where they were supposed to be dating) and there's also the fact that the Trini/Jason fandom is seriously fucking creepy.

Well, they TRIED for Super Megaforce. But they didn't pay a lot (ASJ said it wasn't enough to cover the ticket to New Zealand, let alone getting back) and didn't give enough time to arrange vacations and such.

I honestly think it's better that way. People take shipping seriously, and while I personally have no problems tit Tommy/Kat, despite being firmly in the Tommy/Kim camp, it would be better for everyone if it was just left alone at this point. Kat hasn't been there for his appearances in Megaforce, Dino Thunder, or Wild Force, and neither has Kim. It would be best at this point if everyone could just move on. Neither side is happy, but they can live with it. But they just keep reopening old wounds for reasons I can't figure out.

Oh please I was not that negative. I didn't put it under storytime of pain for a reason. I just find the work to be okay and am having fun looking at the rage it caused, and the very fan fic nature of the work itself. Kim is written to be cooler because the writers want to feel cool for writing her so they give her leather gear that hides the pink, make her a biker, make her look like she was from Mad Max, make her an archer outside of costume. Again the writers want her to be cool so they give her all this extra stuff. Hell she even has a secret power rangers team we never knew about and she was the leader. I find it funny that the writer was so worried about making her cool when dude she's a power ranger who's also a gymnast there's a lot of fun to be had with just that. This mini is fun but not great {spoiler]Besides the main series has the most blatant fan ficy thing ever[/spoiler].

If it involves the Zeo Crystal, then we know he's ultimately doomed to failure because the 'current' team are the ones who find it.

Rito has never met Jason, so there's no connection to be had there. More than likely, he was on Serpentera.

This leads me to assume one of two things. Either Scorpina's up to some shit, possibly generic doomsday stuff, possibly whatever turns Jason into a fugitive, or the Boom! Studios comics considers the old Marvel series to be canon and Jason's soloing the Dark Rangers that Zedd made.

The latter has some basis in canon. Apparently one of the (background) reasons given for why Jason has his powers in Forever Red is because he took the Dark Red Ranger's coin.

For those who don't know what I'm talking about, Marvel did a double feature of VR Troopers and Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: Ninja Rangers back in the 90s. In issue 3, Zedd realized that energy can never be destroyed and gathered all of the energies released when Rito destroyed the original Power Coins, reforming them to make his own set of coins. He then gave them to a looter from Japan (named Osamu Tezuka, not the best homage ever paid to the man), a bully from Zimbabwe, an 'arrogant avaricious' dude from the US, a girl ganger from Columbia, and a pickpocket from France. He also recreated all of the Zords except the Tigerzord, which was roaming the Earth because it'd been abandoned by Tommy.

They threw down with the Rangers for a few pages in the old Thunder Megazord when the Tiger Zord suddenly appeared out of nowhere, merged with the Thunder Zords, and they flew off, swearing to return. They never did, of course.

...If all this is true, then the story would have to be altered given that Pink had all the old Thunder Zords trashed into Typhonus. But I could swallow copies of the Zords being made.

That said, I can see Jason being bull-headed enough to try to take on an entire team by himself.

The only one missing is the Yellow Griffinzord, and >>89452356 looks like it's in place in the shadows (despite all the other art making it look like an original piece for Typhonis). It's easier to swallow it being destroyed entirely than it being intact enough for Jason to pilot it for some reason or other without Goldar noticing it was gone.
