I've never seen this. How is it?
it's like Christmas carol but with Mickey mouse

It's really good. I loved it as a child.
One of the last pre-Eisner Disney productions. It's not bad for what it is. Also notable for the very last time Clarence Nash voiced Donald Duck prior to his death (and he sounds like he has one foot in the grave too).

It's pretty good. One of the few Christmas specials I've watched year after year and doesn't get old.
Plus goofy's dead in it, so that makes it an instant classic.

Nash wasn't even supposed to be in this, but they had no choice because of the difficulty of finding anyone else who could do the voice. As one Disney animator recalled,
"We needed to cast the voice actors for [Mickey's Christmas Special] and they told us 'Clarence Nash is 80, he's retired, don't go looking for him.' We couldn't find anyone to do the voice. We'd tried the guy who voiced Donald Duck for Donald Orange Juice commercials down in Florida, but he was awful. So we didn't have much other choice. Someone said 'You really want to go look for Nash?" So we went down to his home, he greeted us, was real nice. Anyway, he was in his 80s and a little bit frail. He had some trouble hearing us because he wore a hearing aid and was playing around with it trying to get it to work. We said 'We need a voice check here.' and he replies 'Oh, okay then.' He proceeds to clear his throat, and then goes in Donald's voice 'Well, goddamn son-of-a-bitch'. It was perfect Donald Duck. We all had a good laugh right then."

This is the first new Mickey Mouse short since the golden age of animation and the last film to have it's credits in the opening instead of at the end.

It's short, well passed and perfect
All the other adaptations are just shitty over the top music and unnecessary crap that kills the mood of what is supposed to be a simple and quick story
>>89446438
Scared the shit outta me as a kid. Partially because it was my first exposure to A Christmas Carol but mostly cause I was a pussy.

Really can you ever go wrong with a Christmas Carol story?
Practically every show or franchise has done it once, and they've had a pretty solid hit ratio.
Why is it called Mickey's christmas carol? Scrooge is the main character.

How many people know Scrooge McDuck and how many know Mickey Mouse?
It's all Marketing

That's amazing.
