Fuckin rip
>>89410891
gracias
>>89411195
OH SHIT ITS SUGAR AND SPIKEMaybe they showed up last issue but I honestly can't remember
>>89411290
And Terri's finally using her powers again.
All we need is a Larfleeze appearance and we've got the last 5 years of Giffen books all in one
>>89411061
Oh, he died fairly quickly. That kinda sucks.
>>89411491
Nabu without Kent?
Till next month were we hopefully get something explained.
Doubt it though
>>89410891
They really need to ditch Jaime. He has never worked. He was easily the worst part of Brave and the Bold, and he gets in the way of having Blue and Gold together.
>>89411956
No they don't. He worked for a good 36 issues, is an actual interesting and different legacy character that doesn't tread on any of the legacy that came before him and the only thing currently stopping Blue and Gold co-existing alongside Jaime is DC having not brought back Booster for some reason
>>89411526
Thanks
>>89410908
Good issue
I keep hoping that when Fate comes in, things will pick up. As it is, this series still just seems to be spinning its wheels. Oh well, at least we'll always have the 2006 series.
>>89411995
Booster would know too much about what's happened to time. He'll probably show back up during the big Dr. Manhattan event.
>>89411956
>He has never worked
Fuck outta here. BB 2006 was better than anything Ted starred in.
>>89414359
This
>>89413753
I hope so. It's been weird with him not being relevant for 5+ years now.
>>89414359
accurate
>>89414359
>Its been a decade since Jaime stared in anything great
god damnit.
At least the dialogue feels a little better now. My big problem with the earlier issues is that everyone was constantly snarking at and insulting each other and it felt like the whole city of El Paso barely tolerated each other.
One of the biggest draws and most important parts of Jaime's character in his original book was the strong bond he had with his family and friends. It feels like Giffen is only just now starting to get that, because New 52 Beetle was lacking in that department as well.
Although it's definitely improved as it's gone on it's still not what I want. I Ted to actually fucking suit up and get in there with Jaime. Having him just fly around in the bug and talk over the radio is boring and a waste.
I get that they're probably building upto it but the promise of one day seeing Ted as the Beetle again can only keep people reading for so long.
>>89416952
This please
>>89410891
It won't be though.
>>89411172
Green Beetle wrapping people with a snake tail feels like a Young Justice reference.
giffen without dematteis is a mistake
>>89414359
I love ted, but this is true that run was amazing and should be the standard go to for Jaime.
also i recently caught up with this and i gotta ask why is this writting so subpar???
>>89411956
It's just honestly a low stakes title. The characters are just fine but the rest is pretty dull.
It has a lot in common with new Doctor Fate
>>89411526
good issue
>>89414359
This.
Ted's a great supporting character, but Jaime's a better headliner when he's well written.
>>89414359
No.
>>89411061
that was quick
They fucked up giving this book to a old fart.
>>89431524
Yeah, Giffen needs to stop being given Blue Beetle. He's made it clear several times that he doesn't like redoing JLI over and over and he already wrote Jaime before.
Nova is a better version of this book right now
>>89410932
bump
>>89410908
>mfw from El Paso and habitually seek out inaccuracies in the comic depiction
This is a weird brand of autism. We have a big fucking star made of lights on the side of a mountain you could use tho.
Why does Giffen only have two settings where one is "pretty good and funny" and the other is "crash and burn"?
>>89431827
Nova isn't even that interesting because I already went through 4 different writers who were writing that book. I just don't care to do a retread anymore.
>>89411061
It kinda bugs me that this kid was killed so cavalierly.
>>89410998
is she implying that he was only rude because Trump is president?
>>89410908
Cool variant
Blue Bump
>>89410891
It's the curse of first-run success. The first Jaime-Beetle book was so good that everything after looks mediocre at best.
This has been about the best we've gotten in quite a it though so I'm willing to put up with it.
